Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 4-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz had some loss of hair and is now a health and beautiful dog, thanks to good nutrition and some wonderful vet care. She pulls on leash but is eager to walk and really very social with people. She is picky with her dog friends but hasn’t met a human she doesn’t like. Her previous owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Story
Meet Armani, who thinks his name is “Good Boy” because he hears it so much. Armani has been loving every minute since being in MN, and can be found lounging in the yard or on the couch, playing with his toys, or going on leisurely walks. Armani is down for any adventure, but is also happy to chill. He has loved every person and dog he’s met. Armani loves learning and has already figured out how to sit, shake, down and twirl. He will Happily work for treats or just love. Armani is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and has almost mastered potty training. He is good on leash though does want to say “hi” if he can. He is still a pup so he’s still working through puppy tendencies but is generally any easy-going guy. He’s already a big boy but is proving to be gentle giant. Armani is estimated to be 6 months old and 42 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Ajax is a sweet boy who is settling in beautifully and looking for his forever home. He’s lovable, brave, and happy, with a great balance of playful energy and affection. He’s always ready to be on the go, but just as happy to curl up in your lap for some snuggles. Ajax is a loyal companion who loves to follow his people around and be part of whatever you’re doing. He has met new friends and does great with everyone he meets. He especially loves playing with the resident dog, and the two enjoy running and chasing each other in the yard. Ajax is a quick learner and is already doing great with training. He is nearly potty trained and has started picking up basic commands like sit, lay down, and shake. He is very curious about cats, so a home without cats would likely be the best fit for him. Ajax is estimated to be 6 months old and 38 lbs.
