Story
Welcome Jazz to CCPAL Rescue. Jazz is a 2-year-old Airedale/Irish Terrier Mix dog. She weighs about 70 pounds and has the scruffy terrier coat. She is not a big shedder and is very friendly. Jazz had an elderly man owner. Her owner is now in hospice so CCPAL was asked to step up for his 3 dogs. Jazz has some loss of hair and will be taking a NexGard. This will take care of it and she will be as good as new in a few weeks. Her owner is not doing well and the only option is for all 3 of these dogs to find a new forever home. They are well behaved and have some commands under their belt. Jazz knows sit and is decent on a leash. We do think she is potty trained as she doesn’t go in her kennel. She is very attentive and naturally bonds well with men. She wants to do what you ask and can be an only or go with other dogs. She is a stronger willed than the boy named Jett. She is a wonderful dog. She has lived in a home with two large males and did great. She would be a great companion for someone wanting a active companion that is less of a shedding dog. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
BEING FOSTERED IN CT Blue is a fun 10-month old 45 lb pup who’s full of life and love! She would be so happy in an active family that would include her in activities and adventures. She loves other dogs and would be wonderful as a second dog or would thrive as an only dog soaking up all the attention. While she still has some puppy energy and curiosity, she loves sunbathing, napping on the couch, and snuggling with her people. Blue is housebroken and crate trained. Blue’s foster mom says “Blue is very loving, playful and smart, the right mixture of sassy and sweet! She loves to chase balls, wrestle, play tug, and romp in the back yard with my dog. She recently learned the joy of swimming in the ocean and loves to play in water of any kind. She would probably love boating too! She will entertain herself with her toys and bones and likes to be with you on the sofa at night. She is great at the vet, loves to go for car rides, and naps in her bed next to me when I work from home. She loves to go for walks and gets so excited when you pick up her harness.” Blue is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventives. She is crate trained and house broken. Blue's sibling has had a DNA test and it showed her to be 50% Airedale Terrier. If you would like to give Blue a forever home, please email bigyellowgoose018@gmail.com for an application.

Story
Can only be adopted in Texas Looking for a trusty sidekick to go on adventures with? A shaggy dog who'll never leave your side and will cuddle up with you to get through the long night? Well, look no further than Maya! This sandy, shaggy, terrier will sweep you off your feet and will make everyday feel like an adventure! Her honey eyes will always be sparkling to see you wherever you go and whenever you get back home! Maya is going to thrive as an only dog and would do best in a home that does not have a lot of doggie traffic coming and going. She likes her quiet life and she loves her person. Like most diva's she is not one to share her toys, people or space! Maya is the type of girl who would love the simply country lifestyle. Sitting on the porch with her person, afternoon strolls on the backyard. Really the quiet, relaxed, laidback kinda gal. Maya is a medium-sized dog (20-59#). Local adoption fee $200 (in TX)

Story
*Meet the Fab Five!**We recently welcomed five sweet brothers into our care after their owner's home tragically burned down, leaving them at the local shelter. These sweet boys were born on January 12, 2018, making them 7 years old, they do not need to be adopted together. Here’s a quick intro to each of them:- **Yankee:** 62 pounds of charm- **Leo:** A lovable 59 pounds- **Reinhart:** Another 62-pound gentle giant- **Scooby:** The smallest at 52 pounds- **Casper:** The biggest brother at 66 poundsAll of the boys are about 15 pounds overweight and in need of a good grooming session, which we’re working on scheduling ASAP. Despite their rough journey, they were absolute gentlemen during intake—no issues with microchipping, vaccinating, or trimming their nails. We even managed to clean out some of the stickers from their beards. These boys have already shown us their sweet, cooperative natures, and we’re excited to see their personalities blossom as we get to know them better. Stay tuned for individual updates, but in the meantime, if you’re looking for a loyal and loving new family member—or two—these brothers are ready to start their next chapter!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 15, 2025, 6:09 am
