He's the last of his litter with an interesting light orange coat, but without the traditional tabby striping you'd expect! Butternut is super sweet and affectionate. He takes about a week to adjust to new people and surroundings, but he loves strings and sticks and can be lured out to play. Butternut is easy to pick-up, but isn't one for snuggling much yet. However, he loves pets and will start purring if he knows a petting session is coming, even before you start petting him! His whole body rumbles with the vibration of his constant purrs. He was fostered with a lovely couple and their older kitten. 'They are now comfortable walking around our house and are all okay with being held, at least by us (but maybe not strangers yet).' He is currently fostered with Gigi & Tostada, if you are looking to mix-and-match for a pair. He loves other kitties! If interested, contact Dana at 925-586-6408 or DanaCC4C@gmail.com. He had a rough start to life and still has some trauma he is mentally healing from, but he has a lot of faith in his humans and wants to trust you completely, he will just need someone who is patient and cat experienced. He is a people kitty, he likes to conversate with you about his day and is eager to hear about yours.
