Story
Hey I`m Mozzarella!I am a highly energetic, active cat with a lot of curiosity and few inhibitions. Because I tend to act out when I am bored, over stimulated, or frustrated, I must have an adult only home with experienced, cat-savvy adopters (preferably only one person) - if you have experience with my breed or with other high energy/high prey-drive cat breeds such as Bengals, Chausies, or Savannahs that would be a plus. I am not a good cat for people who want a snuggly, well-mannered cat. I do best when I am a solo act. If you are looking for a charming rogue of a cat and think I might be a good match, you can make an appointment to meet me by emailing jskinner@aawl.org.

Story
Approximate Date of Birth: 07/01/2022 Description:   I'm the loveliest fluff you ever have seen. I will follow you everywhere to see what you are doing. If you are working, cooking or cleaning, I will always be next to you. I will cuddle with you on the bed, if you allow me. I’m the best sidekick you will ever know. I’m open to having more siblings but a slow introduction is best. I might hiss at first, but I won’t hurt anyone. I’m not scared of strange people visiting the house. I will come running to greet all guests. Side note: I have a congenital illness that is out of my control. I cannot eliminate feces (poop) by myself. I need to use Miralax daily to help me empty my bowels. When I can empty my tummy, I’m a big happy girl running around. Please be aware that I cannot control my bowels and may have accidents. Please understand I will need your help to keep me clean and happy. Cleaning my own backend has proven problematic in the past and caused me lots of pain (ask my foster-mama for the story) and trust me, I don't want to go through that again. Even though my foster-mama loves me very much, is very patient with me and cleans me all the time she would love to help me find a place to call HOME. I want my own home where all (or most) of the attention would be for me. Words to Describe Me: Loving. Active. Curious. Goofy Favorite Place to Sleep: Same bed as you. But most of the time I will be in the kennel.  Favorite Toy: Pet collar with specific bell sound. Perfect Day: She loves roaming around the house checking everything out. Kitty's Likes: Chin scratches, head petting, play time. Kitty's Dislikes: Getting her booty cleaned. Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Yummy treats. Favorite Treat: Tiki, Squeeze up, Churu. Job Title in Foster: Bathroom Attendant When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Dandelion (my body looks like that when I'm on my back) Good with Cats:   Likes cats given a proper introduction.  Good with Dogs:   Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met a dog). Good with Children:   Loves all children. Companion Animal: Not required.  Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age. Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match. Applications can be submitted on our website at  www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply. Story
Approximate Date of Birth:1/16/2024 Description:   Sakura is a young momma who is ready to start a life focused on her. She is very easy to please and takes life in stride. Sakura's gentle and mellow temperament makes her a wonderful companion for those seeking a calm and soothing presence. She has the cutest little bobtail. We do not know if she was born this way or it was done to her intentionally. Either way, it causes her no issues. Watching her with her kittens is so sweet and they all inherited her darling personality. Sakura has not been around other cats in her foster home because momma cats are protective of their kittens, so we are unsure how she will do with other cats. She should be fine with young, friendly kittens or even by herself. Don't delay, put in your application today! Words to Describe Me: Sweet, easy-going, churdles at you like a typical Siamese. Favorite Toy: Wands and laser pointer. Kitty's Likes: Being pet under the chin or on her back. Kitty's Dislikes: Nothing has been noticed. Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Pet her under her chin. Other Info: Sakura prefers a high sided, extra large litter box or a top entry litterbox. Good with Cats: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met another cat.). Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any dogs.)  Good with Children: Can live with children over the age of 8. Companion Animal: Not necessary.   Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age. Sakura  tested positive for    FeLV        therefore she would need to be in a home with other FeLV kitties (or adopt one of the other FeLV kitties in the rescue) or she can be your one and only girl.  Saving One Life will provide veterinary care throughout this feline's life. Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match. Applications can be submitted on our website at  www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply. She was living at a house with a yard full of junk (hoarding stuff), we could not leave her there as she would approach us. We could not leave her there so we took her in with her kittens and she immediately got adjusted living inside a home and gets along with other cats and she’s very playful. Kitty's Dislikes: Does not like to be held like a baby, and not belly rubs for long period of time just a quick fluff and done. Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Scratch her butt basically that’s it, also under her chin better if you do a combination of those. Favorite Treat: Dried chicken lollipop When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: She wants to be the most affectionate cat to you.              Good with Cats: Likes cats given a proper introduction.      Good with Dogs: Unknown.    Good with Children: Can live in a home with children over the age of 10.  Companion Animal: Not necessary.   Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.
