Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been known to shower my favorite people with love.I love to be the center of attention. All eyes and pets on me, please!I'm very active and will need positive outlets for my energy.I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!Giddy-up! The staff here call me a pony because I like to stand on my hind legs for easier access to pets.Looking for a conversation partner? I'm quite a talkative guy.I have been diagnosed with dental disease which means I may need dental cleanings or extractions in the future.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried and anxious in new surroundings. I may take time to adjust to a new environment.Barrier Reactivity: I can be frustrated meeting new dogs or people through barriers. I prefer to meet in a neutral, open setting, take things at my own pace, and will need to live in a low-traffic environment. The type of home I'm looking for:I lived with young kids in my last home.I need to be the only dog in the home.I need a home without cats or other small animals. It could be with you! Story
Chavo will be 15 this year! She is a sweet senior dog seeking a peaceful and loving retirement home. She's been a cherished part of our family since a puppy and we are rehoming her because she has been struggling with the presence of a small child in our home. We want to ensure she spends her remaining years getting the undivided attention she deserves. Sadly, she experiences weakness and instability in her hind legs, requiring assistance to go outside. Inside, smooth floors make it difficult for her to move but does ok once outside. She receives monthly Librela injections for pain management, which have significantly improved her comfort, and takes joint supplements. A consistent potty schedule is needed to prevent accidents, as she no longer reliably signals when she needs to go out. She can be anxious, particularly around men and unfamiliar dogs, and is not comfortable with young children or high-energy pets. Reach out if you have a quiet home and a gentle heart!

Story
Before you even read Kerry's bio, you have to watch her video! She is made for the camera and her personality and cuteness will even make the big dog lovers want to adopt her. Get ready to fall in love within the first 30 seconds of watching her video: https://youtu.be/Xr9O5HvwZso Isn't she the cutest thing you ever did see?! How can you resist a cute scruffy wittle fur baby prancing around in her adorable dresses, claiming every lap she comes across, and stealing the hearts of every single person that meets her. There is no doubt in our minds that Kerry was born a princess and loves to be the center of your attention and in the best way. She loves affection in all forms and makes everlasting connections. Kerry is a confident little lady always up for little dress up sessions, running errands with you, or relaxing at home on the couch. If your lap is available that is where she is going to want to be and will quickly become her favorite spot. This little girl is estimated to be 2 years old and weighing 11 adorable pounds she is the definition of a little-bestie. Our observation tells us she may be a Yorkie miniature schnauzer mix. Of course, given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age but we do guarantee cuteness and lovability! Kerry is dog friendly and has been around dogs of all sizes. She is currently being fostered with a spicy little man that actually growls at almost every dog he's with but nope, not with Kerry. That's his girlfriend and they have the best time together. Her foster will even catch them snoozing and snuggling away together after play time. They are a perfect match because they both enjoy play every now and then and both enjoy those calm peaceful moments and respect each others space. In a home, that is the type of companion we are looking for to be best placed with Kerry. A pup with a similar approach on life, snuggle hard and play not so hard. That also can be said with bigger dogs too. She does best with bigger dogs that are lower energy that like to simply hangout, relax, and enjoy each other's company. If you don't have other dogs that's fine too! We know Kerry would love to be the princess and apple of your eye. She does not need the company of another dog to make her feel happy and comfortable, all she needs in order to feel that way is your love and your lap. Kerry has also shown to be friendly towards cats as well. She was cautious meeting our house cat, probably because he was bigger than her but she was friendly none the least. Kerry’s dream home would be a peaceful place, whether that be an apartment, condo, or home with a yard. She would make a wonderful companion for someone that occasionally has 1-2 guests over for tea time, watching a movie, or binging your favorite show. She will offer gentle hello’s to your guests and will most likely find a cozy spot in their lap as well after getting to know them in your home. She is kid friendly and would do best in a home with older kids that will respect her dainty self and boundaries. If you have grandchildren that like to come or friends that have kids, she will be totally fine with too. She is a dream on leash and does well in the car so whether its walks or errands, she will be happy to be included. We all fell head over heels for Kerry and know you will too! We are willing to test Kerry with anything you need us to in order to ensure it is a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Meet Fritz! Fritzy loves giving kisses likes to snuggle up on your feet. His little tail wags like crazy when he's happy to see you, which is always. Fritz loves other dogs of all sizes and is good with cats. Fritz is a little bit shy with new people, but warms quickly especially if you pay the cheese tax. He's good with kids, but he's a small boy, and needs gentle kids. Fritz doesn't love being picked up, he pancakes when you pick him up, but is never ever snappy, he just tenses up until he gets comfortable. Fritz needs some work on his leash skills, but is eager to be with you, and will be happy to learn. If you're looking for a good friend and companion, this little guy is the one for you! ❤️
