Story
Poppi came to us after his elderly owners both passed away and their caretaker left him at the shelter. Poppi enjoys long walks despite being a senior and is fine with everyone when he is out on walks. Although Poppi loves his foster sister Sophie, a rambunctious pup, he would do better as either an only pup or with another male dog. He knows the resident kitty is about his size so he just leaves her be. He also prefers a quiet home and would probably be  better without children. Poppi is housetraind and enjoys hanging out in his crate if the door is left open.  He has also discovered toys and it is so cute to see him play with them.  If you are a yorkie person, this is your guy.Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org January 5, 2026, 7:42 pm

Story
Introducing Zach! 💛 Zach is a 9-year-old Yorkie with the sweetest little soul and a face that could melt anyone on sight. This handsome guy lives for snuggles — if you pick him up, he’ll happily stay in your arms as long as you’ll let him. He currently weighs around 10lbs and would benefit from losing 3–4lbs to get to his healthiest self. He’s a little chunky, but that just adds to his teddy-bear charm right now. 🧸 Zach is funny, playful, and has the cutest personality — he’ll even give a tiny bark to politely let you know he’d like to be held. He’s friendly with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a great fit for just about any loving home. He is potty-pad trained, knows to go outside, neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and ready for his forever family. If you’re looking for a gentle senior sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be your little shadow, Zach is your boy. 🐾💙 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet this sweet 10-year-old boy! He’s a people-loving senior who wants to be around his humans and included in daily life. He’s great with kids and does well with other dogs, cats, and even birds. He’d be happy as an only dog or with a canine companion. He doesn’t mind the crate, seems potty trained, loves bully sticks, and enjoys going on real walks—not just quick trips outside. He may need a refresher on basic commands, but he’s eager to please. This gentle boy is looking for a loving home where he’ll finally get the attention he deserves. ❤️ Fairfax is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $300.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Olaf is about 1 year old and weighs about 25 lbs. We think he is a Yorkie/Scruffy Terrier Mix - (just a guess). Olaf is a quiet and sweet boy. He loves the dogs in his foster home and will require another young dog in his forever home. Olaf enjoys playing with doggie toys and just learned how to play with the resident dog. He is good on leash and enjoys walks on quiet trails. Olaf is not a fan of chaos or lots of noise. Olaf would do best in a calm home. Olaf is not fostered with children, but if there were children in his forever home they should be 7 years and up. Olaf will do be in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day as this is what he is used to in foster home. Olaf is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Story
Meet PeeWee: Small Dog, Big Rules 🐾 At just 10 lbs, 4.5-year-old Yorkie mix PeeWee is living proof that dynamite comes in small packages… and occasionally explodes if you don’t respect personal space. Small, scrappy, and selective. I’m basically the bouncer at the club of my own affection, if you’re on the list, you get VIP cuddles. If you’re not? Keep your hands to yourself, Karen. Here’s the deal: PeeWee is adorable, but he’s not that random-friendly-pet-me-at-PetSmart kind of adorable. If you try to touch him without an invitation, he’s happy to give you a quick reminder that he did not consent. Once you’re in his trusted circle, though? Boom—you’re his ride-or-die. He’ll be your shadow, your lap warmer, your TV-watching buddy, and possibly your therapist if you pay him in treats. PeeWee has a very specific roommate policy: no other pets, no exceptions. He’s the leading man in his own sitcom, and there’s no room for sidekicks stealing the spotlight. If you’re looking for a pint-sized companion with a huge personality, a selective guest list, and a serious commitment to his people, PeeWee is ready to sign the adoption papers, once he decides you’re worthy. Story
Meet Harry & Sally – A Sweet Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home Harry and Sally are an adorable father–daughter duo who are hoping to spend their golden years together in a loving home. Harry is a 15-year-old Maltese mix, and Sally is his 12-year-old Yorkie mix daughter. These two are a bonded pair and must be adopted together—they’ve spent their lives side by side and truly thrive in each other’s company. They are doing wonderfully in their foster home and have settled into a comfortable routine. Harry and Sally enjoy playing with each other occasionally, but their favorite pastime is snuggling on the couch and being close to their people. If you’re looking for loyal companions who just want to be where the humans are, these two fit the bill perfectly. They are pee pad trained, and continuing to work on house training with good progress. At night, they sleep well in a crate—after a short period of initial protest, they settle in and rest quietly. Harry and Sally are slowly warming up to the resident dogs in their foster home and would do best with other calm, quiet dogs who respect their space. Their experience with cats and children is unknown, so a calmer household is likely the best match for them. These sweet seniors have so much love to give and are ready to bring warmth, companionship, and gentle joy to a forever home that will cherish them together. If you’re looking to open your heart to a devoted duo, Harry and Sally would love to meet you.  Adoption fee: $525, includes all shots, sterilized, heartworm negative, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Sweet, laid-back Leo is a 10-year-young gentleman looking for his forever home. He came to Mutt Love after his beloved human mom could no longer care for him due to cancer, and now he’s ready to be someone’s loyal little sidekick. He thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Once he chooses “his person”, he’s ALL IN. Think loyal shadow, professional snuggler, and emotional support sidekick. He is fully house-trained, loves his toys, and does well with children and other dogs. Cats are still an unknown.
