Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - AVA BREED: Yorkshire Terrier SIZE - About 12 pounds AGE - 14 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Ava is a wonderful little dog seeking the companionship of a wonderful adopter! Not only is she adorable, but she is super sweet, quiet, and clean, and a perfect little sweetheart that would be happy beside her special person enjoying a quiet life. Ava came to us from our favorite shelter partner in WV with another senior (male) that had been in her home. Their owner became ill and went into assisted living and no one in the family was willing to take the dogs in. In fact, they abandoned them in the owner's home until their veterinarian became aware and worked to have the family surrender them. Fully grown at just 12 pounds, Ava is a perfect size for most homes! She is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with her. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be required. Ava will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for her independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Ava and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Ava at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.

Story
Ginger is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier. I got her for my children who were 10yo and 7yo about 12 years ago. She was a wonderful addition to our family. We have so many beautiful memories with her. While we adore and love her, the children have grown up and moved into their respective young adult lives. I am moving in summer of 2025 and would like to rehome her. She is a good fit with a family with small children or single adult home who can give lots of attention. She is house-trained and very smart (she understands commands: come, sit, stay etc.) She is very much a terrier, meaning she doesn't take too well to other dogs and new people. She is spoiled and loves getting rubbed on her belly as well as her head. She is up to date on her rabies and other shots.

Story
Who doesn’t like a little spice in their life and we promise that our Yorkie puppy, Cinnamon Girl, is the perfect perk that you will need.  We are really not sure how this little girl became a lost puppy but a month of FB posts and Neighborhood Watch posts…. Critter Cavalry took this little girl in to find her a wonderful home.  Yes…. she is a 4 month old, 4 pound, delightfully beautiful Yorkie puppy that is astoundingly normal and happy and funny as she plays all day with other Yorkies that her foster owns.  She plays with the wonderful stuffed toys in the toy box and honestly most of them are BIGGER than she is!   She is pretty much housebroken, crate trained and a little Princess with her manners.  She is healthy and sweet and greets all people with a charming personality that embodies the positive traits of all Yorkies.  If you have been seeking a beauty like Cinnamon Girl, please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   She is ready to start her new next 15+ years with a vibrant family or person that will make her the Queen of their home.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 27, 2025, 6:55 pm

Story
Meet Jazz and Wobbles! These two are a mother and daughter pair who came to us in August from a local animal control. They were part of a hoarding case and are very attached. THIS IS A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Jazz is a 4.5-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 15 lbs. Wobbles is a 6.5-year-old Yorkie mix weighing 25 lbs. Both had cherry eyes when they arrived, and we fixed the surgery but Wobbles’ returned. Because they haven't been outside much until now, they're scared of new things and noises, so they need to have a fenced yard. They love attention but need time to trust you. They're currently living with other dogs and a child in their foster home without any problems. If you're patient and willing to give them love, they'll be wonderful additions to your family! Remember, adopting a dog means committing to them for life. If you're interested in adopting Jazz and Wobbles, please don't call. Instead, fill out an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We check the care history of past and current pets to ensure the best homes for our animals. We reserve the right to approve or deny applications based on what's best for the pets. #lovedogsforever #yorkiemix #littledogs #dogrescue #dogs #rescueismyfavoritebreed #dogsareacommittment #rescuedog #lovedogs #adopt #adoptdontshop
