Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I am a small but long legged bundle of affection and energy, I weigh about 12 pounds and am a yorkie/terrier mix. That's where I got the long legs! But in coloring I look like a Yorkie. I love cuddling on laps, going for walks, and stealing socks [ what's better than a nice game of keep away?] I like to play with my toys and throw them around, but only if I am not right by my person. I like big people, I’m scared of little people. I shake and shiver and need a lap when little people are around. I am almost potty trained and canst things about me is I’m not a big barker I only bark when I want my foster sister to play with me or give me her toy, which she is old so doesn’t play or give me toys. I would love a brother or sister to play with, I love other dogs but am a little shy and will take some time to get used to them. My biggest wish for 2026 is a home of my own. I will bring love and many cuddles to your house! Here’s what my foster mom says about me. Lord Grayson is a joy and cuddle bug. He has a few faults, steals socks, rips grocery sacks if he can get them, we definitely keep them up. He has marked when first here, but was neutered on December 17th and hasn’t marked since; he has had a couple of accidents in the house because I didn’t go outside with him. He would never let you go to the bathroom by yourself. Why shouldn’t he have company as well ? Especially he doesn’t like to go outside alone when it’s dark!!! He’s a funny sweet boy who is between 1 and 3 years old, and in my unbiased opinion very handsome. Story
Meet Ouiser 8 years old • 12.5 lbs • Chinese Crested or Xoloitzcuintle (hairless breed) / Yorkie mixLooking for a loyal little shadow with a heart of gold? Meet Ouiser—a partially blind sweetheart who proves that small dogs can have the biggest personalities. Her vision may be limited, but her love for people is crystal clear. She adores being around her humans, following them from room to room just to be part of the action. When she’s had her fill of affection and excitement, she’ll find a quiet, cozy corner to curl up for a well-deserved nap.Ouiser loves gentle attention, soft snuggles, and calm companionship. She’s happiest as the only pet, or sharing space with very easygoing animals who respect her boundaries. Her silly little snorts, loyal heart, and affectionate nature will quickly win you over once she feels safe and settled. When she’s not snoozing or lounging in a sunny spot, Ouiser enjoys short walks, soaking up fresh air, and proudly carrying around her favorite plush toys. With her low-to-medium energy and simple grooming routine (a few trims and a touch of sun protection), she’s an easy, loving companion ready to make every day a little brighter.&#226&#156&#168 Ouiser’s Perfect Match:-Someone who loves having a sweet, snuggly sidekick-A calm home with no pets -People who appreciate a mix of sass, softness, and soulful eyesIf you’re a Steel Magnolias fan, you’ll recognize her name—and her spark. Like her namesake, Ouiser is funny, feisty, and full of love once you’re in her circle. If you’ve ever said, “I’m not crazy, I’ve just been in a very bad mood for 40 years,” and laughed about it—you might be exactly her kind of person.Adoption InfoDogs aren’t placed on a first-come, first-serve basis—we match each animal to their best home. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Ouiser’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by a kind donor! Story
Meet Benny Breed: Maltese Poodle Mix Date of Birth: November 17, 2020 Gender: Male (Neutered) Weight: 15 pounds Personality Benny is a gentle and somewhat skittish Maltese Poodle mix who thrives best in a calm and understanding environment. With his reserved nature, he tends to observe the world from a distance, often preferring solitude or the company of a trusted few. While shy at first, Benny's heart is full of potential for love and loyalty, waiting to be unlocked by a patient and nurturing family. He is selective with his canine companions, enjoying the company of other dogs that match his calm demeanor. With the right support, Benny can blossom into a loving companion, though he may need guidance in socializing and building confidence. Breed Information Maltese Poodle mixes, often called "Maltipoos," are known for their charming and affectionate nature. Combining the gentle, loving personality of the Maltese with the intelligence and playfulness of the Poodle, these dogs are cherished for their adaptability and friendly demeanor. Maltipoos are typically low-shedding, making them a popular choice for those with allergies. They thrive on human interaction and require mental and physical stimulation to keep them happy and engaged. What to Expect As an owner of a Maltese Poodle mix like Benny, you can expect a devoted but initially reserved companion. Benny will thrive in a home where he receives plenty of love and patience. His intelligence means he's capable of learning new tricks and commands with positive reinforcement, though he may require extra encouragement to come out of his shell. Benny's selective nature with other dogs means socialization will be a rewarding but gradual process, helping him become more comfortable in various settings. Owner's Responsibilities Exercise: Ensure Benny gets daily exercise through gentle walks and indoor play sessions. His small size doesn't demand extensive activity, but regular movement is essential for his well-being. Training: Enroll Benny in obedience classes to build his confidence and improve his social skills. Consistent training with positive reinforcement will help him feel more secure. Grooming: Regular grooming is crucial to maintain Benny's coat health. Brushing several times a week will prevent matting and keep his coat looking its best. Health Care: Keep up with routine veterinary visits and vaccinations. A balanced diet tailored to his size and lifestyle will support his overall health and well-being. Affection and Socialization: Provide Benny with plenty of love and gradual socialization opportunities. Encourage interactions with other dogs and people in a controlled and positive environment. Commitment for Life Adopting Benny means committing to a lifelong journey filled with patience, love, and companionship. Dogs like Benny are not just pets—they become cherished family members who rely on you for care and protection. It's important to remember that dogs should not be left alone for long periods, as they thrive on companionship and interaction. By choosing Benny, you are promising to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving home throughout his life. The happiness and love he will bring into your life are immeasurable, and your dedication to his well-being will enrich both your lives in countless ways.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions or scan the QR code and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue.
