Story
Meet Lucy, a precious 1.5 year old, 9 pound Yorkie mix being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered. : Happy New Year to everybody. My name is Lucy. I became a UYR rescue on New Years Day. All UYR knows about me is that I was found running down a freeway when a very brave and kind lady stopped her car and picked me up on Christmas Eve. She was my angel for sure. I was full of fleas and worms so she gave me a flea bath and something to get rid of my worms. After a few days she WAS finally able to track down my family. She called them and they told her I was given to someone and they provided the phone number. When my angel called that new family, she was told that I escaped Christmas Eve and that they tried to look for me. They said they didn't want me back. My angel tried reaching out to every Yorkie rescue that she could find and they all told her that they couldnt help her out. Finally, after she reached out to a Yorkie rescue in Pennsylvania, she was told to try United Yorkie Rescue. UYR immediately said YES and now I am in a great foster home. I am now safe at Stickhorse Ranch in Mckinney. As soon as Foster Mom learns more about me, seeing as Ive only been here less than one day, she will be updating my biography. In the meantime, I will be going to the Dogter to get my needed vaccinations, check for microchip, look at my teeth and see if I have been spayed. Everything that needs to be done will get done because that is what UYR does with every new kid on the block. So until my next pup date, I can tell you that I will be a snuggle girl because I slept right next to Foster mom last night. PLUS I AM SO SO SO CUTE,,,,so if you have any questions you can reach out to my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com Lucy

Story
Meet Rocco, a handsome 4 year old, 17 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Rocco was Heartworm positive but he has completed his treatments and is now HW free and 100% healthy! Only Texas applicants will be considered. Dear Santa Paws, Hi, my name is Rocco, and Ive been a very good boy this year. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, the family that wanted me wasnt able to adopt me after all. So here I am, Santa Paws, sending you my Christmas letter and letting you know my biggest wish: A home of my very own, with a family of my very own. I really hope this letter reaches you in time. Let me tell you what to look for as you search for my forever home: Id love to have a backyard to run and play in. I wouldnt mind having a fur buddy, but its not a mustas long as my family will play with me. Im great with kids, but they should be 12 years or older. Now, a little about me: Im a healthy 17 pounds now. Ive completed my heartworm treatment, and my microfilaria test came back negativeyay me! Im up to date on all my vaccinations, Im microchipped, and Im neutered. Im still working on my house-training and learning to walk nicely on a harness, but Im a fast learner and I try really hard. My favorite thing in the whole world is snuggling right next to you. If you let me, I would love to sleep in bed with you, but Im also crate-trained. Im about three years old, though Foster Mom thinks I may be a little younger because I still have so much puppy energy. I have long legsshe thinks I might have some schnauzer in me. She also calls me Pogo Stick because I bounce up and down when Im excited to see her! Ill make this short, but if anyone out there has questions about me, they can reach my Foster Mom at: Stickhors@gmail.com So, Santa Paws, I hope you can help make my Christmas wish come true-I want to be home for Christmas. P.S. Please tell Mrs. Santa Paws hello, and I hope shes keeping the elves busy making doggy toys, doggy dolls, sweaters, and jackets! Thank you for reading my letter, Santa Paws. Get lots of restyour big day is almost here, and I hope you carry my wish with you around the world. Love, Rocco

Story
We got Duke from a breeder in November of 2018.He is around 7lbs. He was born in September 2018. He likes to snuggle, chase squirrels and play fetch. He is house trained unless his schedule gets changed, then he will have accidents. He is a home body. We will be traveling more for our careers in 2026 and will not be home enough to give him the attention he should have. He’s done well with other dogs in the past, but he’s been an only dog for his whole life.
