*Milo is a senior Yorkie mix who is finally getting the fresh start he deserves. Milo came to us after he clearly hadn’t been receiving the care he needed by his previous owners. He arrived covered in urine and painful mats, and it appeared he had spent far too much time confined to a crate. Despite his past, Milo has been gentle and is slowly learning what it feels like to be safe, clean, and cared for. Milo is a shy little guy at first, but once he warms up, he bonds closely and looks to his person for comfort and protection — he has already “chosen” a staff member as his safe person. Upon having him, we`ve discovered he does have some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who is home often and can help him continue building confidence. He would thrive in a calm home with no children. We believe Milo gets along with other dogs and may even benefit from a gentle canine companion, but he is scared of cats. This sweet senior is ready to leave his difficult past behind and spend his golden years feeling loved and secure.
