Meet Wolfie, a handsome 12 year old, 14 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Leander, TX. Wolfie is one of a bonded pair, and he and Tilly will need to be adopted together. Only Texas applicants will be considered. It is our pleasure to introduce you to Wolfgang aka Wolfie. He is a male yorkie that is estimated to be 12 years young and weighs 14.5 lbs. As you can see from his photos, Wolfie is a very handsome little fellow with classic yorkie good looks aka a heartbreaker. Wolfie recently came into the care of UYR with his fur-sister Muttilda aka Tilly under very sad circumstances. Wolfie and Tilly had a wonderful owner that loved and cared for them for over ten years. Unfortunately, their owner became unable to take care of her beloved fur-babies. Family members contacted UYR for help with finding Wolfie and Tilly a new loving forever home. Wolfie and Tilly are a bonded pair that have been together for the past ten years and therefore will need to remain together. Wolfie is neutered and up to date on all shots and is scheduled for a dental cleaning. He will also have a bump removed from his right shoulder during the dental surgery. Wolfie has been a perfect house guest at his foster home so far, he is potty trained, very calm, very sweet, and just an overall good boy. He likes to play with toys and loves to go for walks. He also enjoys exploring the backyard and laying in the sun when the weather is just right. Meet Muttilda, aka Tilly, a beautiful 12 year old, 13 pound Yorkie Mix girl being fostered in Leander, TX. She is one of a bonded pair with Wolfie and they must be adopted together. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Muttilda recently came into the care of UYR with her fur-brother Wolfgang, aka Wolfie under very sad circumstances. Tilly and Wolfie had a wonderful owner that loved and cared for them for over ten years. Unfortunately, their owner became unable to take care of her beloved fur-babies. Family members contacted UYR for help with finding Tilly and Wolfie a new loving forever home. Tilly and Wolfie are a bonded pair that have been together for the past ten years and therefore will need to remain together. Tilly is spayed and is up to date on all of her shots. However, she is in dire need of a dental cleaning and tooth extraction. She has a history of a having a heart murmur and when x-rayed by UYRs vet she had a slightly enlarged heart. After careful evaluation and consideration UYRs vet is confident that Tilly is healthy enough for dental surgery which will greatly improve her quality of life as her mouth is painfully infected. Tilly was given an antibiotic shot to help with the mouth infection and is scheduled for the much-needed dental cleaning Tillys foster parents say that she has been a perfect house guest so far, she is housetrained, well mannered, sweet, and just a joy to have around. She wants to be next to you at all times, loves to be pet, loves belly rubs, and may cry just a little if you stop petting her too soon. Tilly also loves to go on walks with her brother Wolfie. Meet Tilly & Wolfie, being fostered in Leander, TX. They are a bonded pair and they must be adopted together. Only Texas applicants will be considered.Tilly and her brother Wolfie (a bonded pair) have been thriving in their foster home as they are patiently waiting for their new forever family to find them. Their foster parents say that they are two of the best dogs they have ever met and that whoever ends up adopting them will be VERY lucky. Tilly is as sweet as they come and has never met a stranger. She greets anyone she meets with lots of love and if given the chance lots of kisses. She likes to sleep in bed with her foster family and she is an expert snuggler. If you are looking for a lap dog or cuddle buddy, Tilly is your girl. Wolfie is a sweet little guy that just wants to be next to his humans at all times. His foster mom says that he watches her every move throughout the day with big hearts in his eyes. He is such a good boy that has so much love to shower his new family with. Both babies are so full of love. Wolfie & Tilly have been on several road trips with their fosters and they were also great travel companions. Meet Nugget, a sweet 3-4 year old, 7 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Round Rock, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Initial Bio 11/9/24: Nugget is one of three yorkies (Theo and Violet) that were brought into UYR Due to neglect. Nugget has only been with his foster for two weeks and we are already in love with him. This little guy has a spunky personality with so much love to give and receive. His favorite place is on your lap or curled up next to you on the sofa. Hes not shy about asking for attention and will give gentle kisses in return. The cutest thing ever is when he finds a sock to play with and starts zooming around. Nugget loves being outdoors but prefers his humans to be with him. He gets along well with the other two small dogs in the home and doesnt appear to have any aggression issues. He isnt happy being in a crate and will let you know it isnt his favorite thing. His happy place is snuggling and cuddling with his Mom and Dad right up next to them in bed. He loves the outdoors and does well with his potty training as long as he is taken out often to explore and run in a secure fenced yard. Nugget is up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative and has been neutered. All he needs now is a family who wants lots and lots of love. Even though he did well while being supervised around a small child, it is recommended that his adoption would be best with no children under 12. Cookie`s foster family reports: Cookie is a 9 year old, loving yorkie mix who came to the shelter after a dog attack. She has since healed from the many injuries and puncture wounds on her body while in foster. She is now strong, well house trained, and LOVES TO CUDDLE. She also very much enjoys playing with small toys. She weighs just under six pounds. Cookie would do best in a home with no cats or small children, she also does well with other dogs her size, but is fearful and bossy with larger dogs. She loves to be with her people, so an ideal home would be one where she will not be alone for very long.

Meet Riley, a 13 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hello to all my potential furever families! My name is Riley and I am so so so happy to have been rescued by the UYR team! The picture UYR took of me was right after my haircut. It's the first haircut I have had in over 18 months. I still was not certain that anything had changed for me and I don't look very happy. I don't know time, but I can tell you that I feel like I was put in jail for some reason that I don't understand. I don't have too much memory about all of that time, I just know I was always hungry, itchy, and hurting. Foster Mom says I was depressed because of the NEGLECT. She says that word has to be in all capitals because it's a very bad word. I was once a very happy healthy 12 lb yorkie boy. But something in my life changed and I was no longer being cared for like I once was. Nobody was feeding me regularly, taking me outside in the sunshine regularly, or getting my haircut regularly. The NEGLECT during this time has made me drop down to 9 lbs, have very red and swollen feet and skin, infected ears, and bowed out legs. Foster Mom says no furbaby should ever lose a fourth of their entire body in such a short period of time!!!! The NEGLECT is very very bad indeed! All the nice people at UYR and my new dogter have said I never have to worry about the NEGLECT again. I still have a ways to go yet, but I am feeling much better. I have foster siblings to play with, am taking medicine, eating regularly, taking nice baths, and taking short walks out in the sunshine! Foster Mom says all of this will help me heal from the NEGLECT. I am also starting to dream about a furever family. I would like a family that will let me continue to do all of these things and never ever ever think about the NEGLECT again.
