Story
Now, I may LOOK like I arose from the ashes- as my name implies and I did! No one really knows what happened to me but I arrived at the rescue with a HORRIBLE injury to my back and I am incredibly sensitive about other dogs jumping around me or climbing on top of me so the rescue thinks it was from a dog attack :( Since I can be sensitive it is best that I be your ONLY LAP WARMER!!! I am a toy lover, I am a food lover, I am a play lover! And boy do I love a GREAT belly rub! Even a crappy belly rub I would love!! I am about 5 yrs old, and am ready live the rest of my days with you. So fill out that application, look at my face.. I will be adopted quickly but only to the right home!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Ealing!Ealing is an adorable little dachshund/terrier mix and he’s the last one available from his litter! He’s almost 15 weeks and weighs about 6 pounds—he’ll stay under 20 pounds full grown. He’s doing great with potty training in his foster, and he’s super smart and learning new things every day. He does great sleeping through the night in his crate. He’s great with other dogs and kids.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Cody is an extremely debonair 8-pound little Yorkie Mix. The vet thinks he is about 8 yr old. Cody has been in our foster home for a while. Our primary issue has been to work on his tolerance for grooming especially around his face. Despite doing a neuter and dental when he was first rescued, in less than a year the vet determined on exam he had an ear infection and needed a dental again. He was having heavy eye discharge which he objected to for any cleaning. He had multiple teeth extracted and following that his ear cleared. Since then, he has had almost no eye discharge. He tolerates his nails cut and his body groomed but is still uncomfortable with trimming hair off his feet and face but is improving. Cody loves to wander outside especially if he knows you are in the area. He also has his favorite “man cave“ in the yard and can often be found there if he fails to show up for dinner. Cody tolerates the other dogs but prefers to have a quiet bed away from the rowdies. He loves attention and will go to a lap for a belly rub and can easily be picked up for hugs. He sleeps and eats in a kennel. He is only loud at mealtime trying to out sing everybody else saying “Me first, me first" and when he thinks he has been left outside too long. Cody is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and is heartworm negative and had a recent dental. His adoption fee is $300 If you can’t wait to give this little guy a belly rub, please submit an application which can be found on our website PoquitaPawsrescue.orgADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to youi  Thank you. January 15, 2025, 1:35 pm
