Story
Meet Percy, a handsome 1.5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Initial Bio 8/9/24: Hi everyone. My name is Percy. I am one of the 12 puppers recently rescued by United Yorkie Rescue. So here is what Foster Mom does know about me. I am guesstimated to be about 18 months old. I weigh in at 8 1/2 pounds. I have been neutered, I have my very own microchip, I'm up-to-date on all my vaccinations, I tested heartworm negative, my fecal was negative and I did not need a dental because I'm still such a young pup. I take my heartworm and flea and tick medication's every month now. I am very inquisitive and will follow you almost everywhere to see what you're doing or what you're getting into. I love digging in the toy boxes to pull out toys and put them every which way in the living room just so FM can put them back where they belong in the toybox. I have a lot of fun here initiating play with the other foster pups. One of my favorite games is playing tag or Chase. It doesn't matter which as long as I am running fast. I am very much the little snuggle bug when it comes to napping and nighttime sleeping. I would prefer to sleep right next to you and keep you warm if you'd let me. I love to give kisses to let you know how much I love you. I am just a very happy go lucky guy. Sure, I still need some training in the potty department and walking with the leash and harness. My dream home would have: * A stay at home or work from home parent(s). * A friend for me to play with. I can play with the little guys and I can play with the guys up to 15 pounds. * A secure fenced backyard would be a bonus. * No apartments please because I am a little barker at all noises. * I will need to be brushed and groomed regularly. * No children under 10 please. * A very nice comfy lap for me to nap in. If you have any questions about me, you can reach out to my FM at stickhors@gmail.com

Story
Meet Sage, a sweet 5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Finally, it looks like Summer has left us and brought us well deserved cooler weather. I forgot to mention in my last biography that UYR did take me to an eye specialist Dogter to see if anything could be done to help me regain some or any of my vision. They ran some tests and came back to tell Foster mommy the sad news that I had double detached retina, and they have been that way for a very long time and there really wasn't anything they could do for me. Fortunately I did not have dry eye syndrome so there are no need for drops. I do need to go see the eye specialist once the year so they can check my eyes and make sure I'm producing teardrops and I do not have dry eye syndrome. If that does happen to happen in the future, the eyedrop's aren't that expensive Since I last checked in, I can let you know that I've learned to navigate more of Stickhorse Ranch and the backyard. I still love my foster daddy though, so I guess you can say I'm a boy dog looking for my Seeing Eye Hooman Guy. I like foster mom, but she's definitely not my favorite. I have the best doggy watch in the world. If I don't have supper in front of me at 6 PM, I will start doing circles and pacing up and down the hallway. I really am a sweet, gentle guy, I love snuggling with you and under the covers and in the covers. I do love to play with toys and I love playing with my treats before I devour them. I really am a very laid-back guy. I don't need much or ask for much other than you to be my special person to take care of me and spoil me the way I should be spoiled. It will just take time for us to warm up to each other so if you were looking for a really special guy, I'm it. I will follow you Furever and ever. If you have any questions you can reach out to my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com

Story
Meet Kee, a handsome 3 year old, 15 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered. I am so glad that summer is finally over. So I have been teaching Foster Mom some more of my personality and a couple of quirks. I love the sun outside. I am not a huge player of toys. Occasionally I like to get into the fun when the other foster resident puppers are playing with each other or playing chase outside, but not too often. I am still working on my potty training, but I am smart so I know I will get there. Foster mom calls me a Lonewolf these days. That is because I prefer to eat my food by myself and away from everybody else and I need to be by myself or I will not eat. I prefer to relax in out-of-the-way places, but where I can still watch all the action. There are times I prefer to go outside to do my business and sun all by myself. I still haven't been able to tell her what kind of breed other than some Yorkie that I am. If you have any ideas, please let Foster mom know. Also if you have any questions about me you can contact her at stickhors@gmail.com Kee

Story
Meet Rising Sun, a precious 8 week old, 2.5 pound Yorkie Mix girl being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. May I have your attention please? Introducing Princess Rising Sun of Stickhorse Ranch, daughter of Queen Mila. On September 19, 2024 I came into this wonderful world at about 3 AM in the morning. I am a beautiful Black and Tan Yorkie mix puppy girl and I weigh a little over 2 1/2 pounds of sweetness and puppy breath. I am an inquisitive girl almost 8 weeks old. I will get my first set of puppy shots in two weeks. I am weaned from my Mommy and eating both soft canned puppy food and hard kibble for puppies all from Hills Science Diet. I am learning how to play with toys and the other foster residents here. I also have discovered my voice. I am very, very curious and always looking for a way to escape the condo Foster Mom built for mommy and me and so far I have not escaped, but I will very soon in the future. I need to get three sets of puppy shots before I can be adopted. Each set of puppy shots are four weeks apart. So if everything goes according to plans I should be able to join my Furever Family and Castle in the second week of January 2025. Being a girl, I will also need to be spayed in the future. In the meantime, as I become a more mature puppy, I will be showing my personality, quirks and possible bad habits, so stay tuned as I will be back and updating my biography as I grow older. If you find you have a few extra bucks in your pockets or purses, would you please consider a donation to UYR for me and my future veterinarian bills? If you have any questions about me, you can email my Foster, mom. @ stickhors@gmail.com

Story
Meet Teddy Bear, a 1 year old, 4 pound Chorkie (Yorkie Chi mix) who is being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Woo Hoo!!! I had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and I turned into a one year old. Foster mommy gave me a little piece of steak, a piece of broccoli and carrot to round out my one year old birthday celebration meal. She baked me a cake, but it tasted awful, even all the other foster dogs didn't like it. I am still a wild child. I only weigh 4 pounds and I want to play hard with dogs twice my size. I also am learning how to express my voice to get the things I want. I am mischievous and curious and want to know exactly what you were doing all the time. I love to chew on buttons. Now that it's gotten cooler I love to snuggle under the covers with foster mommy. I am definitely a lover. Being a tripod doesn't stop me one little bit. I can run as fast as all the other kids here. I can wrestle just as hard as they can wrestle. I am not a quitter. Foster mommy did notice one thing about me though. She thought I was potty trained because I always went outside. She caught me going tinkle in the hallway and in the dining room. So now I wear the band of shame. With it I don't seem to want to tinkle inside the house so foster mommy says better safe than sorry. I am still desperately searching for my person and or my family. I sure would like to have a home by Christmas. I'm kind of yearning for a retired couple so they can give me all the attention in the world, and I deserve it all considering my sad start of life. You can catch up on my story if you scroll down to the very end of my biography and start at the beginning when I introduced myself and saved by United Yorkie Rescue which I am so very grateful for. If you have any questions about cute, adorable me you can reach out to my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com If you find you have a few extra dollars in your wallet or pocketbook, could you please consider making a donation to UYR? You're wonderful and generous donations helps UYR help the little ones that can't speak for themselves. UYR is not selective about who they rescue, all they wanna do is fix every dog and find them their fairy tail endings Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving
