Story
Some dogs, like Wanda, seem to slip under the radar—and we can't figure out why. This gentle girl has been with us for nearly a year and hasn't received a single application, despite being one of the most easygoing and sweet dogs. Wanda is the definition of adaptable. She’s just as happy in a home with other dogs as she is on her own. Whether you have kids, cats, or a busy schedule, she is just happy snoozing in a dog bed. She has proven herself to be non-destructive so she does not require a kennel. She rarely barks and loves every person she meets. While she’s not fully potty trained, Wanda wears a diaper in her foster home and keeps it dry most days. At 13 years old, she’s a Yorkie, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel mix, weighing 16.8 lbs. Wanda has so much love to give, and she's waiting for that special someone who will see what a treasure she truly is. If you are interested in adopting Wanda, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
