Story
Sadie is a cute little yorkshier/ chihuahua female, that's 6 years old. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old, and she's house broke, and plays with kids and our male dachshund, but sometimes fights with our little female pomeranian, which is why were looking for a new home for her. She has a skin condition on her back, which is probably allergy related, as we've tried conditioners, pills, ect,, but she still scratches. She's sweet and loveable, but very shy at first. She's always had a big back yard and other dogs to play with.

Story
Meet Sage, a sweet 5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Finally, it looks like Summer has left us and brought us well deserved cooler weather. I forgot to mention in my last biography that UYR did take me to an eye specialist Dogter to see if anything could be done to help me regain some or any of my vision. They ran some tests and came back to tell Foster mommy the sad news that I had double detached retina, and they have been that way for a very long time and there really wasn't anything they could do for me. Fortunately I did not have dry eye syndrome so there are no need for drops. I do need to go see the eye specialist once the year so they can check my eyes and make sure I'm producing teardrops and I do not have dry eye syndrome. If that does happen to happen in the future, the eyedrop's aren't that expensive Since I last checked in, I can let you know that I've learned to navigate more of Stickhorse Ranch and the backyard. I still love my foster daddy though, so I guess you can say I'm a boy dog looking for my Seeing Eye Hooman Guy. I like foster mom, but she's definitely not my favorite. I have the best doggy watch in the world. If I don't have supper in front of me at 6 PM, I will start doing circles and pacing up and down the hallway. I really am a sweet, gentle guy, I love snuggling with you and under the covers and in the covers. I do love to play with toys and I love playing with my treats before I devour them. I really am a very laid-back guy. I don't need much or ask for much other than you to be my special person to take care of me and spoil me the way I should be spoiled. It will just take time for us to warm up to each other so if you were looking for a really special guy, I'm it. I will follow you Furever and ever. If you have any questions you can reach out to my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com

Story
Meet Kee, a handsome 3 year old, 15 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered. I am so glad that summer is finally over. So I have been teaching Foster Mom some more of my personality and a couple of quirks. I love the sun outside. I am not a huge player of toys. Occasionally I like to get into the fun when the other foster resident puppers are playing with each other or playing chase outside, but not too often. I am still working on my potty training, but I am smart so I know I will get there. Foster mom calls me a Lonewolf these days. That is because I prefer to eat my food by myself and away from everybody else and I need to be by myself or I will not eat. I prefer to relax in out-of-the-way places, but where I can still watch all the action. There are times I prefer to go outside to do my business and sun all by myself. I still haven't been able to tell her what kind of breed other than some Yorkie that I am. If you have any ideas, please let Foster mom know. Also if you have any questions about me you can contact her at stickhors@gmail.com Kee

Story
Meet Teddy Bear, a 1 year old, 4 pound Chorkie (Yorkie Chi mix) who is being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Woo Hoo!!! I had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and I turned into a one year old. Foster mommy gave me a little piece of steak, a piece of broccoli and carrot to round out my one year old birthday celebration meal. She baked me a cake, but it tasted awful, even all the other foster dogs didn't like it. I am still a wild child. I only weigh 4 pounds and I want to play hard with dogs twice my size. I also am learning how to express my voice to get the things I want. I am mischievous and curious and want to know exactly what you were doing all the time. I love to chew on buttons. Now that it's gotten cooler I love to snuggle under the covers with foster mommy. I am definitely a lover. Being a tripod doesn't stop me one little bit. I can run as fast as all the other kids here. I can wrestle just as hard as they can wrestle. I am not a quitter. Foster mommy did notice one thing about me though. She thought I was potty trained because I always went outside. She caught me going tinkle in the hallway and in the dining room. So now I wear the band of shame. With it I don't seem to want to tinkle inside the house so foster mommy says better safe than sorry. I am still desperately searching for my person and or my family. I sure would like to have a home by Christmas. I'm kind of yearning for a retired couple so they can give me all the attention in the world, and I deserve it all considering my sad start of life. You can catch up on my story if you scroll down to the very end of my biography and start at the beginning when I introduced myself and saved by United Yorkie Rescue which I am so very grateful for. If you have any questions about cute, adorable me you can reach out to my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com If you find you have a few extra dollars in your wallet or pocketbook, could you please consider making a donation to UYR? You're wonderful and generous donations helps UYR help the little ones that can't speak for themselves. UYR is not selective about who they rescue, all they wanna do is fix every dog and find them their fairy tail endings Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving

Story
Meet Theo, a precious 2-4 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Frisco, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Theo is one of three Yorkies that were recently confiscated due to neglect. You would never know it by Theos disposition. He is a happy, playful, pup, ready for any adventure. He is estimated to be between three and four years old. He is very smart, and has quickly learned that if he goes potty outside, he gets a treat. Were still working on this, as occasionally, he still will wet the belly band. However the progress hes made in just the three days weve had him is great! He loves toys, but his favorite is an old sock. He carries that thing around with him everywhere. If you toss it, he will chase it and bring it to you, but he does not like giving it back. He sometimes gets a little snippy about it. We are working on that. He has been great with our Golden Retriever. He likes to visit her, sniff her, but respects her boundaries. Im sure he would play great with a smaller pup. He follows everyone in our household around, so curious about everything. He sleeps next to the bed on his blanket. He would love to sleep in the bed with his humans, but due to his recent neuter, we havent let him for fear he might try to jump off in the night and injure his stitches. Theo loves being outdoors! When he goes out into the yard, he sniffs every inch, then he runs at full speed all around. Were planning to take him on his first leash walk this weekend. Hes been on one car ride to the store which ended fairly well. He was a little nervous at first but settled down. Overall, he is a happy, curious pup just looking for someone to love on him. He will need a family willing to spend time with him and play with him. Due to time in his previously life in a kennel, we do not recommend crating him. As my husband said, Theo will be someones new best friend. He will make an excellent companion.

Story
Some dogs, like Wanda, seem to slip under the radar—and we can't figure out why. This gentle girl has been with us for nearly a year and hasn't received a single application, despite being one of the most easygoing and sweet dogs. Wanda is the definition of adaptable. She’s just as happy in a home with other dogs as she is on her own. Whether you have kids, cats, or a busy schedule, she is just happy snoozing in a dog bed. She has proven herself to be non-destructive so she does not require a kennel. She rarely barks and loves every person she meets. While she’s not fully potty trained, Wanda wears a diaper in her foster home and keeps it dry most days. At 13 years old, she’s a Yorkie, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel mix, weighing 16.8 lbs. Wanda has so much love to give, and she's waiting for that special someone who will see what a treasure she truly is. If you are interested in adopting Wanda, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org  *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1849749##
