Then, one day, she let us medicate her without too much struggle, then the next day, it was less a struggle.  She came to us for loves and pets.  She started seeking affection.  She soon began to play.  She can hear!! She's a delightful, sweet girl who will do well with in a home where she can be your couch and bed buddy.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm

This precious boy was living in deplorable conditions.  He's shy, and learning to trust.  He gets along well with other small dogs.  He is really beginning to seek out loves and pets.  He uses the doggie door and his kennel is clean/dry overnight.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm

Heaven is a 7-year-old female who has made an incredible transformation after being rescued from a hoarding situation in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. When she first arrived, she faced many challenges: she was fearful, had untreated ear infections, dental disease, and was covered in fleas. Thanks to the loving care of her foster mom, Heaven has fully recovered. She’s now spayed, healthy, and flea-free, with her ear infections and dental issues all treated. Though she was initially very timid, Heaven has learned to trust and accept love from her foster family. While she is still on the shy side, her confidence continues to grow every day. Heaven gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another small, calm dog who can help her continue to blossom. Heaven is looking for a patient and loving family who will understand her gentle, sensitive nature. She’s come a long way from her difficult past and is now ready to find a forever home where she can feel safe and cherished. If you're ready to give Heaven the loving home she deserves, please apply to adopt her at Yorkie Rescue Houston's website.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm

Zoe is a 5-year-old spayed female who knows what she wants in life! Rescued from the Baytown Animal Shelter, Zoe is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will soon be ready for her forever home. She’s completed her 30-day doxycycline regimen and has received her first heartworm treatment injection, with her final two treatments scheduled. Zoe is full of personality and is definitely a bossy little lady! She enjoys affection and attention but prefers to be in control of her space. Zoe would thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a calm, older dog who won’t invade her personal bubble. She has little tolerance for younger, more energetic dogs getting too close, so she’s best suited for a quieter home. While she’s on crate rest for her heartworm treatment, Zoe has shown herself to be a calm companion, content to lounge and enjoy snuggles with her humans. Once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready to start a new, active chapter in her life! Zoe is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and will soon be heartworm-free. She’s ready for a family who understands her independent spirit and can give her the love and boundaries she needs. If Zoe sounds like your perfect match, please apply to adopt her at Yorkie Rescue Houston's website!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   Surrendered to a family friend when the original owner lost their home in Hurricane Beryl, they were surrendered to our rescue so they could receive the vetting they desperately needed. This girl was severely neglected and possibly abused.  Her Foster mom reports: Marie is much better, she still does not like men .  She does like females and she comes to me when I call her. She stopped hiding outside so no more glow collar. She is eating well and likes to eat in her crate but will graze in the kitchen. She is sweet and loving but only to me. She is completely house broken and does not pee or poop in the crate. She still  hides in the house. I think she will always be timid and insecure. Her forever home should be with a female and maybe one other dog or cat. She does get aggressive out of jealousy . She puts up with my husband but doesn't trust him so a male must be very Patient with her and vey loving. She sleeps with us and likes to be covered in a blanket. She will come lay by me later at night.  She's as good as she's going to be. Her forever family needs to show lots of love. She is still not leashed trained , she is very afraid of cars and unfamiliar places. NO KIDS UNDER 14! 1 other dog OK.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   Found running up the road, finder took into their home for safe keeping.  Finder took her to be scanned, she was chipped!  Finder opened a 'found dog' report with the chip company, contacted the veterinary office where she was chipped, who attempted to reached out to the owner, however the contact information was out of date. the clinic and the chip company was unable to find current contact information.  Owner never responded, never opened a 'lost dog' report. This girl had been dumped. We agreed to take her in.  She's now up to date on  her vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea control. She was already spayed, so we did her 'dental' This delightful girl will do well in a home where she can get lots of cuddles and attention! Medical note:  Bailey has 'chronic dry eye' and will need lifelong eye-drops.  Her adopter should be prepared for this.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:10 pm
