Story
Meet Mylo Eli, a 4-year-old, tan, 12-pound terrier/Yorkie mix with a unique personality and a lot of love to give to the right person. Mylo Eli came to us as a transfer from Baytown Animal Shelter, and while he has some quirks, he's full of potential for the right home. Mylo Eli is a dog with boundaries and would do best in an adult-only home where those boundaries are respected. He needs a patient and understanding family willing to work with him at his own pace. Initially timid, Mylo Eli is kennel aggressive and takes time to warm up to new people. He chooses when he's ready for affection and will let you know when he needs his personal space or if he's uncomfortable. A slow and gentle approach is key when meeting him. Once Mylo Eli feels comfortable, his true character shines through. He enjoys pets on his back, and is fully potty trained. He's also a fan of car rides and loves showing off his tricks, like sitting and laying down on command. Mylo Eli is quite playful and enjoys playing with his favorite toys. Despite losing an eye in a dog fight-an incident that was not started by Mylo Eli-he remains dog-friendly and enjoys being part of a playgroup with other doggie friends. His resilience and positive attitude make him a special pup with a lot of love to share. Mylo Eli is looking for a home where he can feel safe, respected, and loved. With the right approach and a little patience, Mylo Eli could bring a lot of joy to your life. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he deserves? Would not do well in an apartment. Adoption fee is: waived ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Story
Meet Scotty, a sweet and smart 8-year-old, 13-pound Yorkie with a heart full of love and a personality that will melt yours. Scotty is looking for a high-energy home where he can share his affection and enjoy some quality cuddle time. This little guy is not just adorable; he's also clever, knowing basic commands like sit, lay down, and shake. He is extremely intelligent. One of the smartest dogs I've seen. When he identities his person he sticks to them like glue. So if you are looking for a sidekick he would be great! When he is calm he gives you the sweetest eyes that melt your heart. He loves to lay next to his person but also will jump down when he has enough and could be on his own. His ears are the most adorable I have ever seen. The way they flop when he walks or runs is so cute and then when he lifts his head to look at you they stand straight up. Once Scotty identifies his person he feels the need to protect them and he would growl and sometimes he would snap at a new person so an experienced home or a home with one person might be best. Some quirky things about Scottie, he loves his treats and feeding time. While very food driven he has manners when eating meals and receiving treats. He was afraid of the icemaker and vacuum cleaner but a cautious fear, not a reactive fear. When he wants attention he has no problem letting you know. Scotty has a playful side, too-he loves running around the backyard, letting off some steam, and playing with his doggie friends. he gets along well with both small and large dogs and is even cat-friendly. Scotty may love running and letting his energy out during playtime but he shouldn't be encouraged to jump and shouldn't be allowed to jump on and off of beds, furniture, etc. Due to him having a burst disc in his back that was surgically repaired almost 3 years ago. He would do best in a home without young children. Scotty is house-trained and very treat-motivated, Scotty is easy to please and eager to learn. He enjoys car rides, walks, and even bath time. Scotty is ready to find his forever home, where he can offer endless love and cuddles. If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and affectionate companion, Scotty might be the perfect fit for you. Scotty is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped Scotty Francis' adoption fee is $175 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Hi I'm Murphy! I am going to be seven years old this December. I really enjoy long walks and long naps. I promise you can pet me all day and I won't be mad. I am still working on potty training and have accidents sometimes. If you notice that I am scratching myself a lot it is because I have skin allergies. I have to have my blankets washed in free and clear detergent. I prefer to be the only dog in an adult only home so I can get all the attention! I am super loving and sweet. I do have dry eye in both of my eyes as well as a cataract in one of my eyes. This will require taking daily eye drops. I am fully vetted and heartworm negative. Adoption fee is: $400.00 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
