Meet sweet Winston, a 14 year old, 7 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Round Rock, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. This precious tiny 14yr old baby came to us just in the nick of time. The owner fell on hard times and reached out for us to take him in. We immediately took him to the vet because he was a Sr that needed vetting done since it had been awhile for a vet appointment. During his exam, his blood work showed his BUN was not even readable. We immediately agreed to a hospital stay so this little baby boy could receive the fluids his body desperately needed. On Thanksgiving Day, he was finally able to go to his foster home, where he is getting some much needed TLC, good food and a lot of love. Winston will need a dental down the road but in the meantime, we take our time to give him some good baths, great food, and get this baby back to his healthy self once again. We know that Winston loves everyone and is a total sweetheart. He is great with dogs and children and is very loving and very curious about cats. Meet Riley, a 13 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hello to all my potential furever families! My name is Riley and I am so so so happy to have been rescued by the UYR team! The picture UYR took of me was right after my haircut. It's the first haircut I have had in over 18 months. I still was not certain that anything had changed for me and I don't look very happy. I don't know time, but I can tell you that I feel like I was put in jail for some reason that I don't understand. I don't have too much memory about all of that time, I just know I was always hungry, itchy, and hurting. Foster Mom says I was depressed because of the NEGLECT. She says that word has to be in all capitals because it's a very bad word. I was once a very happy healthy 12 lb yorkie boy. But something in my life changed and I was no longer being cared for like I once was. Nobody was feeding me regularly, taking me outside in the sunshine regularly, or getting my haircut regularly. The NEGLECT during this time has made me drop down to 9 lbs, have very red and swollen feet and skin, infected ears, and bowed out legs. Foster Mom says no furbaby should ever lose a fourth of their entire body in such a short period of time!!!! The NEGLECT is very very bad indeed! All the nice people at UYR and my new dogter have said I never have to worry about the NEGLECT again. I still have a ways to go yet, but I am feeling much better. I have foster siblings to play with, am taking medicine, eating regularly, taking nice baths, and taking short walks out in the sunshine! Foster Mom says all of this will help me heal from the NEGLECT. I am also starting to dream about a furever family. I would like a family that will let me continue to do all of these things and never ever ever think about the NEGLECT again. Meet Wolfie, a handsome 12 year old, 14 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Leander, TX. Wolfie is one of a bonded pair, and he and Tilly will need to be adopted together. Only Texas applicants will be considered. It is our pleasure to introduce you to Wolfgang aka Wolfie. He is a male yorkie that is estimated to be 12 years young and weighs 14.5 lbs. As you can see from his photos, Wolfie is a very handsome little fellow with classic yorkie good looks aka a heartbreaker. Wolfie recently came into the care of UYR with his fur-sister Muttilda aka Tilly under very sad circumstances. Wolfie and Tilly had a wonderful owner that loved and cared for them for over ten years. Unfortunately, their owner became unable to take care of her beloved fur-babies. Family members contacted UYR for help with finding Wolfie and Tilly a new loving forever home. Wolfie and Tilly are a bonded pair that have been together for the past ten years and therefore will need to remain together. Wolfie is neutered and up to date on all shots and is scheduled for a dental cleaning. He will also have a bump removed from his right shoulder during the dental surgery. Wolfie has been a perfect house guest at his foster home so far, he is potty trained, very calm, very sweet, and just an overall good boy. He likes to play with toys and loves to go for walks. He also enjoys exploring the backyard and laying in the sun when the weather is just right. Only Texas applicants will be considered.Tilly and her brother Wolfie (a bonded pair) have been thriving in their foster home as they are patiently waiting for their new forever family to find them. Their foster parents say that they are two of the best dogs they have ever met and that whoever ends up adopting them will be VERY lucky. Tilly is as sweet as they come and has never met a stranger. She greets anyone she meets with lots of love and if given the chance lots of kisses. She likes to sleep in bed with her foster family and she is an expert snuggler. If you are looking for a lap dog or cuddle buddy, Tilly is your girl. Wolfie is a sweet little guy that just wants to be next to his humans at all times. Meet Tilly, a beautiful 12 year old, 13 pound Yorkie Mix girl being fostered in Leander, TX. She is one of a bonded pair with Wolfie 12 years and 14 Lbs and they must be adopted together. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Wolfie and Tilly are continuing to do very well in their foster home. They get along super well with the resident pups and might even be caught snuggling with one of them from time to time. Wolfie has finally settled down and does not exhibit an excessive amount of separation anxiety, but still prefers if someone is home with him. As does Tilly, but without so many vocal disapprovals. They both enjoy their walks in the morning and Wolfie enjoys sunning on the patio in the afternoon. They are perfect house guests and are very comfortable in their foster home.
