We did not get out as much as we normally do, not because of Candi but because of the rainy weather.  My 2 just stand there, door open wide just looking at me. Not Candi, once I put her raincoat on - out the door we go! She is a good walker and moves down the sidewalk at a good pace. She loves to meet people and their 2 and 4 legged babies. Her little tail gets going and you can tell how much she loves the attention. She is so well behaved and calm that it doesn’t take long for people to approach her. Even the little kids… because she’s so calm and happy they aren’t afraid of her.   Candi does not give kisses much but she does likes to lick you. Whether it’s to say she “loves me,” or to get my attention, or because I taste good I’m not sure. She is not a slobber-er or has bad breath so it does not bother me at all. She is truly such a well behaved sweet girl, just wished she wouldn’t look away when she sees the camera!   Candace is staying with Deb in Phoenixville, PA. His adoption fee is $800.00.   Finneas is an 1 year old, 14.5 pound young boy. His hair is slightly more coarse than a typical Yorkie, but it is easily combed or brushed since it tends to remain knot-free...and he loves to be groomed, at times closing his eyes while being combed. He eats well and shows no sign of food aggression with our other two Yorkies. He has mild separation anxiety which is lessening with each passing week. He will be neutered towards the end of July with a check of his teeth at the same time. His potty habits are good but our goal is to get him to tell us when it's time to go outside. He walks great on a leash and really loves to go for a walk, but does not like to encounter other dogs.  We have broken him of the habit of barking at humans as well so we're hopeful that we can do the same with other dogs. He sleeps quietly through the night in an enclosed pen which he enters at bedtime without the need to coax him. He loves bath time at home and will be going to the groomer at the end of June to get his first haircut.  We think under that flowing brown hair we'll find a very handsome puppy. He loves to play with toys and will return a fetched item for more play. He can navigate stairs without problems and can easily jump up on the couch when he wants to. He is an energetic puppy who loves to be near his humans.   He is being fostered in New Canaan, CT   Finneas is staying with Maryann and Michael in New Canaan, Ct.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 22, 2024, 1:27 am

His adoption fee is $700.00.   Samsung is an 8 year old male Yorkie Poo, who was surrendered by a loving family because they could no longer keep him.  He is 8 lbs of love and cuddles after only 3 days here.  His coat is soft and a little curly and he loves to have his ears scratched.    He is crate trained and walks well on a leash and has a friendly personality – seems to like meeting new people. Samsung is eating well and loves his treats!  He also likes to go up on his stairs and look out the window at the birds and then he decided his new nap place on the top of the sofa. Samsung is a really good guard dog – barks at all noises – even when I use the printer – and we are working on making him comfortable enough that he doesn’t get startled at noises. He will be heading to the vet for his neuter and dental in the near future. Samsung is staying with Terry in Turtle Creek, PA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 22, 2024, 1:27 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Vivian is available for adoption. She is 7 years old and weighs 7 lbs. Her adoption fee is $800.00. Our newest foster is this cute little girl named Vivian, or Vee for short.  She is 7 years old and 7 pounds of sweetness.  Vivian has a few little quirks that we are working on.  She doesn’t like hardwood floors or sudden, loud noises.  She has been to the vet and gotten a clean bill of health although she does have allergies, like so many other dogs, but we are controlling them with special shampoo and a once a month shot.  She is spayed, up to date on all shots and may need some dental work.  We are also working on housetraining which is coming along well if we take her out every 2 hours.  Vivian sleeps all night in her bed and enjoys her walks around the neighborhood.  She has a lot of pep in her step.  Vivian would blossom as an only dog because she deserves one on one attention.  Vivian is staying with Nancy in Williamsburg, VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 22, 2024, 1:27 am

Story
Bastille is a very young 7 month old Yorkie/Schnauzer mix pup that is only 11 pounds and destined to be the love of your life.   When he is fully grown he should be a little under 20 pounds and just the right size for all sorts of fun adventures to do together in life.  He is very even tempered and a sweet little guy that really does well with other dogs.  We have not tried him with cats but since he is such a young pup we are sure he could accept and befriend them for life.  He has the perfect demeanor to be great with everyone and every creature he meets.  When he first came to the rescue foster home,  he didn't know what a leash was and we made him learn on a daily basis.  He is getting better at it with each session.  He would not do good in an apartment as he really doesn't like to be crated and will cry to get out.  He will learn the crate but in the meantime an apartment dweller might have some angry and complaining neighbors. Bastille loves to snuggle, give kisses and be your best friend.  He needs a fenced area to run in because he is not a fulltime couch potato but an active little guy that loves to get his zoomies out.  He loves to play with other dogs and we are looking for that kind of opportunity as well.  Whomever adopts him in going to have lots of fun with him.  If you work from home we are totally all for that.  We would like the adopters to be home most of the time to get that one on one time.He is still a puppy so not completely house trained but is crate trained. Lots of potential for this boy.   We want a family with children over 7 years of age and who know how to be gentle with a small dog.  So much potential with this boy to bring joy and love your way.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 2, 2024, 6:51 pm

Story
Hi my name is Riley.  I am a beautiful little 6 year old, 10 lb Biewer Terrier.  I was surrendered to Critter Cavalry when a middle Tennessee breeder decided to stop breeding me.  To learn more about our breed follow this link.  https://www.dailypaws.com/dogs-puppies/dog-breeds/biewer-terrier We are a young breed as our ancestors came to the United States from Germany in the early 2000's.  How our immediate family ended up with a breeder in Tennessee, who knows.  Any way I am no longer a working girl and ready to enjoy life as a pet.  I am sweet, loving and playful.  I am having the best time learning to be a pet.  I enjoy running around inside the house.  Zoomies are one of my favorite things.  I also like to take in all the smells outside and lay in the sun for a few minutes.  I love my foster mom and want to be in her lap whenever she sits down.  I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home and I am also good with cats.  I love to play and would really like a forever home with another small dog for company and to play with.  I am very social and not an only dog girl.  I am also housebroken, crate trained and I walk OK on a leash.  I have been spayed and am current on all my shots, heartworm negative, on monthly prevention and microchipped.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Riley is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)July 2, 2024, 6:51 pm
