Story
adoption donation : To be determined weight 16 lbs  Age: 1 year and 3 years Bert and his brother Ernie are full brothers, but were born two years apart, Bert is the younger of the two, he has a stubby tail and loves to run and play. Ernie has shorter legs and a longer, fuller tail, and he is just a cuddle bug, he really just wants to be on your lap! Bert and Ernie are sweet and loving dogs who really love each other. They cuddle together and chase and play, they would love to stay together. They appear to be some kind of Yorkie terrier mixes, and may have some miniature schnauzer in them as well. They are both 16 pounds  Bert and Ernie’s original owners in Mississippi had a house full of small dogs, but recently were evicted from their home and so wag stepped into help, getting the dogs, spayed and neutered and vaccinated, and looking for loving homes. Now it’s Bert and Ernie’s turn!  Both boys have had their vaccinations and has been neutered. Both Bert and Ernie are coming up to the northeast on Friday, December 20 ready to find loving families of their own, hopefully for the holidays!  Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting any of the puppies please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    December 18, 2024, 8:46 pm

Story
Cinnamon (aka Minnie) is a happy, little cuddle bug. She's a 1.5 year old, 13 lb yorkie mix with a beautiful red/tan/silver coat.. She loves being close to her person so a home where someone is around a good bit would be best. She really enjoys squeaky toys and will tire herself out playing fetch. Minnie is coming along well with house training and also uses pee pads on occasion. She travels well and is doing pretty well a leash. Cinnamon is having fun with the other dogs and cats and kids in her foster home, but would also do well in a home as an only dog. She is ready to find her forever home.  Email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. Story
We adopted Ollie from a coworker when he was puppy 10 years ago. He is an excellent snuggler and loves to go for walks. He is gentle with our toddlers but can be overwhelming to outside kids as he seems to see littles ones as playmates. He is very protective, but is not aggressive other than barking at strangers or the Amazon delivery man. We now have a busy life with work and small kids and can no longer give him the attention he needs. He would do best in a home without cats, and likely will be ok with other dogs.

Story
We have a transport to the east coast where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving the beginning of March 2025.Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Mitzi to our trip for the right home 😊 Meet Mitzi! She is a purebred yorkie. She weighs 7.3 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She turns 3 on 12/22/24. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done at time of her spay, and had a thourel exam with our vet who has cleared her to find a home all her own ❤️ Mitzi is crate trained, and will happily sleep in a crate at night in her bed. Now if given the opportunity to sleep in bed with her person, that's where she will be so if you are looking for a snuggle partner at night she will happily be that girl. If you want to continue to have her sleep in her crates she will be fine with that as well, so the ball in definitely in your court 😊 She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when needed throughout the day. She has NO problem running into the yard and finding a good spot to potty. We always watch her because of the wildlife we have here, and she is much to small to be left out alone. She LOVES her walks, and will happily stroll around the neighborhood or town with you. Going out to dinner and want to take your little Angel girl with you? She would be honored especially if you order a few extra veggies on the side for her to enjoy 😉 She is a foodie at heart and loves her carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, apples, watermelon, strawberries, and bananas 😋 She is wonderful with other dogs and cats alike. She does enjoy being the princess in our home though so if you are looking for a little one to spoil with all of your love and time then she would never even for a second complain and will allow the pampering to begin at your hearts desire 😍 If you do have another sweet dog, or cat in your home she would be just fine with that too, and would come in loving them just the same, but with stipulations in order that she does require some level of pampering and they will need to be okay with her occasional time with her humans as she truly values that time😊 She is wonderful in the home, and has great house manners. She is NOT a barker at all, and may or may not alert you of unfamiliar sounds as it depends if it's interfering with her midday nap because we all know a princess needs their beauty rest 😉 She is free spirited and while she loves to be with her person, she is also very independent and will go about her day doing as she pleases whatever that may entail. She is a wonderful companion, and one that you will forever be grateful saying yes to! She will add a lot of love, joy, laughter, and friendship to your life and home from the moment she becomes a part of it as it'll seem as if she has always been a part of it ❤️ She is wonderful on road trips around town, or long distance as we have been on a 3 hour road trip with her and she did phenomenal, and was happy just to be a part of what we were doing 😊 She loves her spa dates with our our groomer and is always happy to see her so having a groomer that will also build a relationship with Mizi moving forward will be ideal for her enjoyment because she understands and appreciates the friendships she makes along the way and always remembers our groomer ❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/mitzi It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, her dental cleaning (her teeth were in overall great health, and just needed a good polish and clean,) her antibiotic shot given to aid in the healing of her spay and dental, her exam with our vet (which went perfectly,) and as always it also contributes towards the care involved in the time she has been here with us, her grooming costs, and her training ❤️

Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 After Alice’s owner passed away unexpectedly in an accident, her sister reached out to us for help in finding homes for several small dogs, mostly Yorkies, that she was breeding. The dogs needed to be relocated by October 8th. Our foster mom cared for Alice and her three male puppies, born on September 11th, since they were about a week old. The puppies have already had their tail docked and dewclaws removed. Alice has been spayed and has found a wonderful home. These puppies are tiny and would not be suitable for households with young children. M2 has been adopted, while M1 is has an approved application. M3 is still available, but he has an overbite, which may lead to dental problems as an adult. Therefore, his adoption donation has been reduced to $675, with a $100 neuter refund.   Adoption Donation is $675 with $100 neuter refund. Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please  email:    dianespets1486@gmail.com  or call 610-970-7500 APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG   SMALL ANIMALS   BIRD REPTILE   FERRET December 13, 2024, 3:40 am

Story
Meet Charlotte! Our sweet little Yorkie girl has made great progress since coming into rescue. She was nervous and shy, but has slowly learned to trust and is learning to enjoy affection. Charlotte is a quiet girl, and usually only barks at mealtime or when she wants your attention. She's OK with other dogs, but not too interested in interacting with them, so she would be fine as an only dog. Charlotte is not housetrained, and wears a diaper in the house as we continue with training. A new family with someone at home most of the time would help Charlotte to reach her potential, and have the happy life she deserves. She is 10 yrs old, 7 lbs, and ready for adoption. Charlotte is being fostered in the Newtown Pennsylvania area.
