Story
Meet Buttercup, a timid yet sweet 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who's learning to trust people after being surrendered by a commercial breeder. Affectionately called "Butters" by her foster mom, she is shy but has a gentle and loving nature once she feels comfortable. Butters is a tiny girl, so pet steps or being picked up will help her reach your lap or the sofa, where she loves to sit close. Butters has not quite yet mastered stairs and is a bit afraid of them - so she will need additional help learning. She enjoys the company of her foster dog siblings and would do best with at least one other dog to help show her how to be a dog. Her ears pop up when you talk to her, and although she's still getting used to the backyard (especially the steps), she's doing well with potty training, preferring to use pee pads indoors. Butters is still working on leash training but will likely do well with a harness and some patience. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle companion who just needs a little extra time to blossom, Buttercup is the perfect match for you! Buttercup is UTD on vaccines, dental and has been spayed. She is located in the Berks County area and is looking for a home within a 2-3 hour radius.

Our foster mom picked them up and fostered Alice and her pups until they were weaned. Alice is a little shy at first  but once she gets to know you she is very loving and outgoing. She still needs to gain some much-needed weight, so that she can get spayed. Alice is mostly house and potty-pad but does still have some accidents here and there. She would not be suitable for young children or a loud busy household due to her timid personality. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The time has come for Minnie Mouse to find her forever home! She has overcome death, and made a miraculous recovery here in in rescue. She does have some lifelong medical conditions that will require ongoing medical care, a strict prescription food diet, medication, and may have some costly vet care in her lifetime. Any adopter should be sure they can financially take her on before applying! Minnie Mouse came to us lifeless, with no body fat, no fur, and little hope of survival, but this girl is a fighter and just celebrated her second birthday! She weighs 10 pounds and is the sweetest, happiest little Shorkie you will ever meet. Minnie Mouse is crate trained, leash trained, and loves car rides. She does use peepads and potties outside, but her EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) does cause some extra pee to occur and she may have accidents if not on a consistent bathroom schedule. Minnie Mouse does take daily medication and eats prescription food that must be continued as her condition can become deadly if treatment isn't followed. She is super easy to care for, a great eater, and cooperates for her weekly baths too! We are open to a local to Lebanon PA foster to adopt home or a straight adoptive home for this little girl. We are always a support system for our adopters and can be available to assist with any questions or concerns throughout Minnie Mouse's life in a new home. She has come so far since February, and now it's time she finds a loving home to call her own..... To adopt Minnie Mouse, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, biopsies, specialist visits with additional diagnostics, dental, and all the love you can handle!
