Story
adoption donation : To be determined weight 16 lbs  Age: 1 year and 3 years Bert and his brother Ernie are full brothers, but were born two years apart, Bert is the younger of the two, he has a stubby tail and loves to run and play. Ernie has shorter legs and a longer, fuller tail, and he is just a cuddle bug, he really just wants to be on your lap! Bert and Ernie are sweet and loving dogs who really love each other. They cuddle together and chase and play, they would love to stay together. They appear to be some kind of Yorkie terrier mixes, and may have some miniature schnauzer in them as well. They are both 16 pounds  Bert and Ernie’s original owners in Mississippi had a house full of small dogs, but recently were evicted from their home and so wag stepped into help, getting the dogs, spayed and neutered and vaccinated, and looking for loving homes. Now it’s Bert and Ernie’s turn!  Both boys have had their vaccinations and has been neutered. Both Bert and Ernie are coming up to the northeast on Friday, December 20 ready to find loving families of their own, hopefully for the holidays!  Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Gutherie! Oh where do we start with this little guy? He is more of a “You can look but can’t touch” kinda guy! If you are looking for a cuddler or lap dog Guthrie is probably not your guy! He might also be Gremlin. He kinda looks like someone fed him after midnight. “This land is my land, and this land is my land!” That is Gutherie’s motto. Gutherie thinks he is a big herding dog. He feels the needs to herd all the other dogs in the home to keep them in line. Especially at dinner time! Gutherie lets you pet him. On his terms! If you try to pick him up and hold him, he acts like a screaming goat who found out the store was out of his favorite feed. We think he was not handled much. He came from a hoarder with many others. On a good note he is not a biter! Except that one time. Gutherie does not want long walks on the beach or shopping trips to Target. He would rather fly around your house like a 5lb feral pigeon. Gutherie loves other dogs and does not mind cats. He is not a fan of kids. We do not actually know that. However, we do not think he is a fan of humans all together. Is he house trained? Who really knows at this point. He does go outside. You would need a fenced yard or preferably a cement wall like they put around castles. Maybe even a moat. Otherwise, he will be running around the neighborhood telling people they’re his b!”@$! Gutherie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He did test positive for Lymes, but is being treated for it. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc.
