adoption donation : To be determined weight 16 lbs Age: 1 year and 3 years Bert and his brother Ernie are full brothers, but were born two years apart, Bert is the younger of the two, he has a stubby tail and loves to run and play. Ernie has shorter legs and a longer, fuller tail, and he is just a cuddle bug, he really just wants to be on your lap! Bert and Ernie are sweet and loving dogs who really love each other. They cuddle together and chase and play, they would love to stay together. They appear to be some kind of Yorkie terrier mixes, and may have some miniature schnauzer in them as well. They are both 16 pounds Bert and Ernie’s original owners in Mississippi had a house full of small dogs, but recently were evicted from their home and so wag stepped into help, getting the dogs, spayed and neutered and vaccinated, and looking for loving homes. Now it’s Bert and Ernie’s turn! Both boys have had their vaccinations and has been neutered. Both Bert and Ernie are coming up to the northeast on Friday, December 20 ready to find loving families of their own, hopefully for the holidays! Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Cinnamon (aka Minnie) is a happy, little cuddle bug. She's a 1.5 year old, 13 lb yorkie mix with a beautiful red/tan/silver coat.. She loves being close to her person so a home where someone is around a good bit would be best. She really enjoys squeaky toys and will tire herself out playing fetch. Minnie is coming along well with house training and also uses pee pads on occasion. She travels well and is doing pretty well a leash. Cinnamon is having fun with the other dogs and cats and kids in her foster home, but would also do well in a home as an only dog. She is ready to find her forever home. We adopted Ollie from a coworker when he was puppy 10 years ago. He is an excellent snuggler and loves to go for walks. He is gentle with our toddlers but can be overwhelming to outside kids as he seems to see littles ones as playmates. He is very protective, but is not aggressive other than barking at strangers or the Amazon delivery man. We now have a busy life with work and small kids and can no longer give him the attention he needs. He would do best in a home without cats, and likely will be ok with other dogs.

Meet Charlotte! Our sweet little Yorkie girl has made great progress since coming into rescue. She was nervous and shy, but has slowly learned to trust and is learning to enjoy affection. Charlotte is a quiet girl, and usually only barks at mealtime or when she wants your attention. She's OK with other dogs, but not too interested in interacting with them, so she would be fine as an only dog. Charlotte is not housetrained, and wears a diaper in the house as we continue with training. A new family with someone at home most of the time would help Charlotte to reach her potential, and have the happy life she deserves. She is 10 yrs old, 7 lbs, and ready for adoption. Charlotte is being fostered in the Newtown Pennsylvania area.

Amber is an affectionate yorkie who came into rescue from a puppy mill. She is fine with other dogs, but prefers the attention of her foster family. Learning how to go up and down stairs and walking on a leash are new skills Amber has learned. She does need consistent training on housebreaking, with lots of praise and reward. A home with a fenced in yard is on her wish list, as she loves to run and explore. Amber is 8 yrs old, 12 lbs, and will be a great companion for the right family.

Lucky is certainly a happy-go-lucky dog! He enjoys other dogs and likes to play with them and loves to play with toys. He gets excited to see his people when they come home.
