Story

Otis has been part of our family since 2015 where we adopted him from a friends mother that breeds Yorkshire Terriers. We got to meet Otis’ sisters & brothers and mom & dad. Otis has always had a feisty side to him. He’s still to this day energetic, loves catching ball and playing with his younger dog brother, Ziggy. Otis can get along with other dogs if properly done the correct way. However with dogs he hasn’t met or gotten off the wrong foot with, he can be territorial and aggressive. Typically with bigger dogs (he has small dog syndrome) Since we’ve expanded our family with a 5 & 3 year old, it has become more challenging to alleviate Otis’ stress & anxiety. He needs a home with no small children. Ideally a quieter home with no kids or other pets. Otis can be very sweet with one on one snuggles from a trusted adult figure in his life. He loves to curl up on couch and sleep on bed with you, especially now that he’s older and his vision isn’t as great as it used to be.

Meet Pepper, a sweet Yorkie mix, a tiny lady with a big heart and an important job: professional snuggler, treat enthusiast, and fearless squirrel patrol officer. She is good with most dogs when given slow, respectful introductions, so she may do well with a canine buddy who understands that friendships take a minute. She is not crate-trained and would do best in a home that can give her comfort, patience, and a little freedom. She also prefers fresh dog food and will need gentle reminders for potty breaks, so a consistent routine will help her thrive. Pepper is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she is close to her people. At night, her favorite place to sleep is right next to her humans, where she can be cozy and feel part of the family. This lovely girl is looking for a home where she can be spoiled, snuggled, and appreciated for the charming little queen she is. If you are looking for a loyal companion with personality, sweetness, and just the right amount of sass, she may be your perfect match. *Pepper has been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. We are actively looking for a long term fospice for Pepper.

Magoo came in with severely infected ears, and mouth, a stage 4-5 heart murmur and renal trouble. We are working to get him healthy and ready for a forever home if his family is not found.

Dixie and Roxy are a BONDED PAIR of Yorkie mixes They are sisters. They are sweet and cuddly, and QUITE friendly when they get to know you just a little bit. They are fairly vocal (as are most small dogs), with Dixie being more so than Roxie. Both dogs love to comment on any animals they see on tv. They love to announce anyone coming into view. They are good eaters, not picky at all. Dixie (slightly larger) is fearless when trying new things. Roxie is a little cautious. They are both escape artists, they want to explore. They`re learning that the big back yard is not a scary place, at least when it`s not dark. They both love any toy they can chew on. They sleep on foster moms bed, and sleep all night. They are ok with being in a crate, but would rather not be. Is yours the home they are looking for? They must have a fenced Yard. Both girls are spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. We are sorry to have to rehome him but we are dealing with a recent change in our housing and don’t have a place for him.
