Story
Dash is 7lbs and is 7 years old. He will turn 8 on June 5th. Has his rabies shot but needs all other vaccinations. I adopted him at 8, weeks old from an AKC registered breeder in Oklahoma. I did not buy breeding rights, therefore he is neutered. He has been a joy to have. He listens so well but is also such a little opinionated thing! Classic Yorkie attitude. Knows basic commands; sit, stay, he waits to be released for food. He does tell you when he needs to go outside to potty. He is not much of a yapper. The door definitely sets him off, but once he gets to greet the person at the door he's happy. He loves people, tolerates other dogs. Is not good with little kids. He loves a fuzzy blanket. Enjoys tearing into stuffed toys to get the squeaker out. His favorite activity is going on hikes. He is able to walk 3 mile trails no problem! He really is a sweet darling and has a lot of life left to live. He deserves a family that will help him live it.

Meet Jake! A 13 year Yorkie, whose loving owner could no longer care for him. Jake has adjusted well to his foster home and spends most of his day sleeping on a soft blanket on the couch. When he has enough beauty rest, he loves to play for short periods. Jake loves children and will spend hours enjoying belly rubs. He does well in his crate & will sleep through the night but wants to have his humans in view. Jake is almost 100% house trained while taken out on a routine and does well on a schedule. He loves to eat, but is a bit overweight so he has been put on a low calorie dog food and a restricted amount of treats! Jake does have arthritis in his senior years and will be on an arthritis medication. Because of this, he can only walk short distances and needs carried up and down stairs. His tiny size, makes carrying him a breeze! This gentle soul may be a little older and hard of hearing and seeing these days, but don't let that fool you, he can make his way to your lap- no problem!  Jake is a low-key companion who doesn't ask for much- just a cozy spot to rest, some patience, and someone kind to share his days with. If you're looking for a quiet, loyal friend who will appreciate the simple things in life, Jake may be the perfect match! Senior dogs have so much love and appreciation to give- they just need someone willing to meet them where they are. ##2711868##

He is cute as can be and is very sweet with his foster mom. He loves to play and engage with the other dogs. However, he has had several failed adoptions- his personality completely changes when being left with new people, and he needs time to settle in- and that means resisting to try to cuddle the cute small fluffy dog. He’s got a big personality, and he is clear with communication, that he needs time and space. We are looking for an adopter who can follow direction or has previous experience with a behaviorally challenging dog. We think once he feels comfortable, he will shine just like he does with his foster mom.
