Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Elsie is a sweet, spunky 1-year-old Yorkie mix weighing just 7 pounds — small in size but full of personality. She was pulled from a local pound and is now ready to find a loving home of her own. Elsie is a vocal little lady who may not be  well-suited for apartment living, but she more than makes up for it with her affectionate nature. She loves being held and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. She’s friendly with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. She is not fully potty trained yet but does use puppy pads and will need a patient adopter willing to continue her training and help her succeed. Her experience with kids and cats is currently unknown. If you’re looking for a loving lap dog with a big heart, a strong voice, and lots of potential, Elsie could be your perfect match. She’s ready to trade her rough start for a forever home filled with love.  Although technically Teddy is 3 years old, he must have missed that memo because Teddy lives life like a full-throttle puppy. He’s a Shorkie (Yorkie–Shih Tzu mix) weighing a healthy 16 pounds of enthusiasm, curiosity, and mild-chaos. He’s playful with toys, playful with dogs, playful with air, and deeply committed to yard adventures. Teddy absolutely requires a securely fenced yard, because while he isn't an escape artist, he's not shy about taking advantage of opportunity either. A solo adventure? He'd never look back. He is, without question, a handful. But a very sweet one. When he powers down (we promise he does), Teddy delivers top-tier snuggles that make you forget he was playing 'the floor is lava' just minutes before. His former owner sadly passed away and likely wasn’t able to give Teddy the structure or outlets he needed, so he’s learning all those things now in foster care. Teddy is working on house training and currently wears a male wrap to manage his enthusiasm for marking. This has been GREATLY reduced in just his first week and we expect him to be fully house trained with some time, consistent direction and a little patience. He already walks pretty well on a leash, but this will also improve with repetition. When it's time for bed, he sleeps soundly in the 'big bed' til morning.  Teddy will thrive with a loving family who genuinely enjoys actively engaging their pups. Due to his playful nature, we feel he also needs a home with another playful, energetic canine companion to help burn off steam. Because of his age, energy level, and vocal personality, Teddy is not a good fit for older seniors or homes with shared walls. Teddy does not shed but does require professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. If you have a groomer referral, please include it with your application. Adoption Fee: $450. This includes spay or neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm testing, and current prevention. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, Fendi here, and I am a friendly, active happy 4 year old male Yorkie, of 14 lbs. I am fully vetted and have just recovered from heart worm tx, light case thankfully.I like to keep busy with squeaky toys and find great joy in tearing them apart! I'm also a bone lover , both these items keep me occupied.  I'm a busy fella. I also do all my potty business outside and will let you know when. I don't need a crate. Foster mom has left me alone for  3 hours a few times when out doing errands and I've been a good boy. I am not demanding and in your face, not a cuddle bug. I like being with my person by their side and just like to lay beside you. The foot of your bed is my preference for sleeping. I have 2 dogs with me here, a chiweenie,male, and a boxer mix female. We get along just fine. Proper introductions to strangers a must. Last but not least Fendi has no shame with food left out on kitchen table or any where else. Small breed, terrier experience is desired. No small children , cats not rec ommended, no large male dogs. NO LARGE MALE DOGS IN THE HOME PLEASE!
