Story
Intake Date: 18 October 2024 -------- Age at intake: 11 years ----- Breed: Yorkshire Terrier ----- Size: 10-15 lbs ----- Status: Owner passed away ----- Compatible with: Dogs, children, cats Unknown. He has been around them but will chase them if they run. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Indoor marking occasionally, requires regular grooming, will be getting a dental and thorough exam at rescue ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Happy! Happy has had a bit of a rough go lately. His owner passed away and so he came to rescue with his buddy, Clay. These two are a dynamic duo. They really like one another and are definitely seeking comfort thorugh familiarity. Happy came to rescue super matted so an amazing groomer got him cleaned up! He even had a twig in his coat! Happy is very Happy. He just does his thing and brings a smile to everyone he meets. I know his buddy Clay would do best staying with Happy but we know that isn't always possible. Happy is a senior dog so he needs regular care. He needs an adoper who is prepared for the additional care and costs of a senior. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is required.
