Story
Isn't Bella such a cutie!? This super sweet girl was rescued from a local shelter along with a few other dogs. When she arrived at our sanctuary she was terrified, covered in her own filth, and very underweight. She was very timid around us for her first 15 minutes out of her kennel, but as soon as she figured out we were there to help she perked up and showed her sweet, cuddly personality. She is great on walks and responds to her name very well. She loves getting cuddles and playing with her much larger foster brother. She is also very small for anyone looking for a small pup to join their family!

Story
Hadley is a sweet Yorkie who is 8 years old and weighs 9 lbs. Hadley is an observant Yorkie yet, tends to be quieter than most and loves attention.  Hadley came to us as a breeder release and had never lived in a home as someone's dog, so many things are new to her, such as noises around the home and stairs. She has learned quickly to adapt and enjoys sitting on the couch with her foster parents.  Hadley is working on housetraining and leash walking, but she will need someone with time and patience to help her be successful.  We also have Hadley’s sister Harkness in foster care. Harkness is a little more outgoing. They would make a perfect pair for someone looking to adopt two Yorkies, however, they are not necessarily bonded and do well being separate from each other, so we are not requiring them to be adopted together. Please take a look at Harkness’ bio if you are interested in adopting two Yorkies.  Hadley could be an only dog or have another dog under 15 pounds in the home. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD.  The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches, which is attached to the home.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.  The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed and microchipped. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500November 7, 2024, 12:14 am

Story
Harkness is a sweet little Yorkie, who is 8 years old and weighs 8 lbs.  Harkness is a lovebug! She likes to “talk” and will give you a little bark when she needs some attention. She came to us as a breeder release pup and never lived in a home as someone’s loving pet until she came to us. So many things are new to her like normal home noises and stairs. She is learning very quickly about love and enjoys snuggling up with her foster mom.  Harkness is working on housetraining and leash walking but will need someone with time and patience to help her be successful. We also have Hadley, who is Harkness’ sister. Hadley is a little more reserved, but equally beautiful and sweet. They would make a perfect pair for someone looking to adopt two dogs, however, they are not necessarily bonded and do well separate from each other, so we are not requiring them to be adopted together. Please look at Hadley’s bio if you are interested in adopting 2 Yorkies.  Harkness could be an only dog or have another dog under 15 pounds in the home. Story
Oscar is a sweet little Yorkie-mix (possibly toy Poodle or Maltese), who is around 9 years old and weighs 5 lbs. If you have a heart for tiny, lovable senior dogs, Oscar is your guy! Oscar is a very observant pup. He loves to follow his foster mom from room to room to watch what she’s doing. His favorite time of day is mealtime! Oscar gives a little bark to remind you that he is ready. Oscar may be a little toothless guy, but it doesn’t keep him from enjoying treats and food. He is doing exceptionally well with house training and leash walking, and will give a little bark to let you know that it’s time to go out. Oscar could be an only dog or have another dog under 12 lbs in the home. Story
Simon is an adorable 5 yr old Yorkie who weighs about 8lbs. Simon’s foster mom says he is such a lovey boy and looks at his person with the biggest smile while wagging his little tail. Simon loves attention and showers his foster parents with so much love. He would make a great little buddy for someone. Simon was a breeder release, meaning he had never lived in a home until coming into our care. Even though everything was new to him, he is doing very well transitioning into home life. Things like stairs, noises, and housetraining are all new to him. He is doing well with house training and leash walking, but he will need someone who can be patient as he continues to learn what it’s like to live in a home with a family. Simon could be an only dog or have another dog under 15 pounds in the home. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches, which is attached to the home. Story
Katherine Heigl Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 1-3-2021 Weight: ~ 8 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $350 Sweet Katherine is a fun little dog who enjoys going for walks, lounging in her yard, and going on adventures. She likes going to area breweries and pet friendly restaurants. She likes hikes in the woods and staying dry by the lake! We usually crate Katherine when we leave the house, as she can be a barker. However, if left un-crated she will bark for a bit and then settle down. She likes being with her people and hanging out with them. She is a bit clingy, but this will eventually get better as she continues her obedience training and stay command. If you believe that dogs need a leader, they need guidance, they need someone to tell them what to do and when, then Katherine might be a good match. She is not a first time dog. She is not a dog for kids. Katherine is a dog that is insecure and needs someone who can offer the leadership she needs. She's sweet, loving, funny, and worried. When she is in a home that expects her to behave, requires she follow directions, and doesn't ask her to guard the house, she does great!
