King is a 1 year old 13 pound yorkie mix. Special needs … King was rescued from an abusive hoarder and has issues trusting. It takes King a long time to get comfortable with new people then he sticks like glue. This little guy does not like to be picked up, so we do not recommend a household with children. Teens would be fine, adult household would be ideal. King is not a cuddle type or a lapdog. We are looking for that special adopter who will be patient with King and give him time to learn to trust. Letting him set the pace will help build a successful adoption relationship, but it will take some time. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. Charlie has not had a good life. He has been bounced around in and out of the shelter in Md. and never cared for very well. He is 10 yrs old, neutered. vaccinated. and microchipped. and had a dental . Dog friendly. Charlie doesn't have many teeth. He is sweet and loveable . no apartments or electric fences. He needs someone home to love him He doesn't need a pal but he needs you. He is a really good boy. Can be stubborn sometimes but that is all part of his charm. when he isn't ready to go home from a walk he plants himself and lets you know so i just scoop him up and home we go. He prefers a calm home so best no little kids., older kids are ok esp if they cuddle with him. He is house trained .
