Story
Isn't Bella such a cutie!? This super sweet girl was rescued from a local shelter along with a few other dogs. When she arrived at our sanctuary she was terrified, covered in her own filth, and very underweight. She was very timid around us for her first 15 minutes out of her kennel, but as soon as she figured out we were there to help she perked up and showed her sweet, cuddly personality. She is great on walks and responds to her name very well. She loves getting cuddles and playing with her much larger foster brother. She is also very small for anyone looking for a small pup to join their family!

Story
Katherine Heigl Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 1-3-2021 Weight: ~ 8 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $350 Sweet Katherine is a fun little dog who enjoys going for walks, lounging in her yard, and going on adventures. She likes going to area breweries and pet friendly restaurants. She likes hikes in the woods and staying dry by the lake! We usually crate Katherine when we leave the house, as she can be a barker. However, if left un-crated she will bark for a bit and then settle down. She likes being with her people and hanging out with them. She is a bit clingy, but this will eventually get better as she continues her obedience training and stay command. If you believe that dogs need a leader, they need guidance, they need someone to tell them what to do and when, then Katherine might be a good match. She is not a first time dog. She is not a dog for kids. Katherine is a dog that is insecure and needs someone who can offer the leadership she needs. She's sweet, loving, funny, and worried. When she is in a home that expects her to behave, requires she follow directions, and doesn't ask her to guard the house, she does great! He loves to eat. His second favorite past time is a good snuggle and nap. He very much appreciates his doggie bed, air conditioning, a warm lap and a good meal. He's being treated for heartworms. He likes love and will make a wonderful companion for just the right family. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 2:18 pm

Story
Charlie has not had a good life. He has been bounced around in and out of the shelter in Md. and never cared for very well. He is 10 yrs old, neutered. vaccinated. and microchipped. and had a dental . Dog friendly. Charlie doesn't have many teeth. He is sweet and loveable . no apartments or electric fences. He needs someone home to love him He doesn't need a pal but he needs you. He is a really good boy. Can be stubborn sometimes but that is all part of his charm. when he isn't ready to go home from a walk he plants himself and lets you know so i just scoop him up and home we go. He prefers a calm home so best no little kids., older kids are ok esp if they cuddle with him. He is house trained . This boy needs his home and YOU! email for an application mdcctennis@aol.com We do a 2 week trial foster to adopt so everyone is happy.

Story
Cassidy is a sweet 7 yr old, 6 lb Yorkshire Terrier.  Cassidy was a shelter rescue, so we don’t know much about her background. She can be somewhat hesitant when meeting new people but warms up fairly quickly. Toys and a dog bed seem to be new for her, but she is loving and enjoys the attention of her foster family. Cassidy follows her foster mom everywhere and loves to be on the sofa beside her. She can be quick around doorways, so her new family needs to be vigilant. Cassidy is still working on housetraining, so she needs someone patient and willing to take her out regularly as she continues learning. She just started leash training. Cassidy could be an only dog or have another dog under 10 pounds in the home. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches, attached to the home and accessible from a usable house door.  An invisible fence, enclosed patio, deck or terrace, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) they need to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500November 4, 2024, 1:54 am
