Love is just what Brown Sugar is ready to find for Valentine's Day!
This 13 pound yorkie hails from Alabama where she was used as a breeding momma. She is looking forward to retiring with a family that can provide her with a quiet home filled with cozy snuggle places. She is estimated to be between 9 and 11 years old and would be perfect for anyone looking for a low-key pup to love on.
Brown Sugar is being fostered with a small senior dog whom she loves in Midtown Manhattan. Her favorite activities include following her foster mom around the apartment , begging with her paw to be pet and snuggling in beds and clothing baskets. Yes, she loves to squeeze herself into a small basket of clothes under her foster mom's bed. She walks well on leash, following her foster sister's lead to sniff and enjoy the smells of NYC! She is working on losing a bit of weight to help improve her balance and mobility. She responds to her name and is working on commands such as "sit" and "down". She is house trained and non-destructive when left alone, uncrated. Brown Sugar is super quiet and enjoys her crate but does not need it to feel safe when alone.
This sweet gal would be the perfect addition to any family with relaxed lifestyle. She likes kids and other dogs, regardless of size. Her family should be prepared to provide lots of cozy napping spots, treats and plenty of belly rubs. She hasn't lived with cats in our care but we think she would do fine eith a proper introduction.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
