Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. **Meet Norma: Your New Best Friend (with a Big Heart and Even Bigger Eyes!)** Hi there, I’m Norma! I’m 6 years young and a tiny 8 pounds of pure sweetness, ready to steal your heart (and maybe a bone or two, but only if you’re not paying attention). I wasn’t always so lucky – I came from a rough past and was left all alone, but now I’m living the dream with a new family who loves me SO much. I may have been in bad shape before, but look at me now! I’m a healthy, happy, and totally adorable Yorkie mix who’s ready to shower you with affection. I’m a cuddle queen – one look from my big, soulful eyes and you’ll be hooked! I love nothing more than snuggling up with my humans, especially on chilly New Hampshire days (and don't get me started on how cute I look in my cozy sweater). But don't let my sweet side fool you; I’m also a little ball of energy! I’m quite the swimmer too. Yep, I’m not afraid to get my paws wet! I get along with other dogs (as long as they don’t try to steal my favorite bones… those are *MINE*), and I’m generally the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. So if you’re looking for a loyal, adorable little dog to add some joy and magic to your life, I’m your girl. Let me show you how amazing life can be when you’ve got a fur-ever friend like me by your side!  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. November 17, 2024, 1:49 pm

Story
DOB 5-27-2024 Agatha, she is so sweet, she would like a home where she is the baby forever! Loves to play with her toys and the other pups in her play group. Adoption fee is 950.00, transport fee is 165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
