Story
MEET LEVI: Age: 5 years oldBreed: YorkieWeight: 6lbs Levi was rescued from a life of commercial breeding and is now safe and ready for his loving forever home, thanks to the collaboration between the Bissell Pet Foundation and National Mill Dog Rescue. Levi is a sweet little fella who adores being held and is the perfect lap dog! He’s looking for a quieter environment where he can feel secure and loved. His gentle and affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone seeking a cuddle buddy. Requirements: *Living Situation: Levi is best suited for a mature household that can provide him with the calm atmosphere he craves. He does well with other dogs, though he may be a bit small for larger breeds. Thankfully, he has no issues with cats, making him a versatile addition to many homes. *House Training: While he is crate trained, Levi is working on perfecting his house manners, specifically addressing his instinct to mark on occasion. Patience and understanding will help him adjust. *Physical Needs: As Levi is not leash trained, he will require a physical fenced yard where he can play and explore safely. This will also allow him to enjoy outdoor time without the stress of leash walking. An invisible fence and tethering would be dangerous for a dog his size. *Fashion Forward: Levi enjoys wearing sweaters, adding a little extra charm to his adorable personality! Are you ready to provide Levi with the love and care he deserves? Levi is ready to find his forever family - could it be you? Levi is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for a neuter and dental cleaning/extractions at our partner Veterinary office.ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)!
