Story
MEET LEVI: Age: 5 years oldBreed: YorkieWeight: 6lbs Levi was rescued from a life of commercial breeding and is now safe and ready for his loving forever home, thanks to the collaboration between the Bissell Pet Foundation and National Mill Dog Rescue. Levi is a sweet little fella who adores being held and is the perfect lap dog! He’s looking for a quieter environment where he can feel secure and loved. His gentle and affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone seeking a cuddle buddy. Requirements: *Living Situation: Levi is best suited for a mature household that can provide him with the calm atmosphere he craves. He does well with other dogs, though he may be a bit small for larger breeds. Thankfully, he has no issues with cats, making him a versatile addition to many homes. *House Training: While he is crate trained, Levi is working on perfecting his house manners, specifically addressing his instinct to mark on occasion. Patience and understanding will help him adjust. *Physical Needs: As Levi is not leash trained, he will require a physical fenced yard where he can play and explore safely. This will also allow him to enjoy outdoor time without the stress of leash walking. An invisible fence and tethering would be dangerous for a dog his size. *Fashion Forward: Levi enjoys wearing sweaters, adding a little extra charm to his adorable personality! Are you ready to provide Levi with the love and care he deserves? Levi is ready to find his forever family - could it be you? Levi is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for a neuter and dental cleaning/extractions at our partner Veterinary office.ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. Story
Ember is a 9-year-old Yorkie who has endured a tough life, but her story is finally taking a turn for the better. This little lady is ready to find her forever home where she can be spoiled and loved as she deserves! Why Ember is Amazing: Cuddle Queen: Though timid, once you pick her up, she melts into your arms and relaxes. Toy Curious: She's starting to discover the joy of toys, and we're here for it. Good with Other Dogs: Big or small, she's a friendly girl. Crate & Grooming Pro: Great in a crate, loves baths, and is a groomer's dream! Adventurer in Training: House training is still in progress, but she's improving every day. Ember came to us in rough shape, and her coat had to be shaved due to matting. But it's growing back soft and beautiful, just like her confidence and spirit. A Little More About Ember: She's still learning to trust and needs a patient, loving adopter to help her fully adjust to this new chapter of her life. She's making daily strides, wagging her tail, and even showing excitement for meals! While she's shy about morning pets and cuddles, she's slowly starting to open her heart.

Story
Roxie~born~May 2013Special BreedI’m a diva. THERE! I SAID it!! And I’m proud of it! And I will LET you KNOW it! AND I will NOT STOP NAGGING you until I get what I WANT!! And I MEAN IT!! (My foster mom used to squirt water at me to “bring me out of it”, as she puts it, but now she just shows me the bottle, and I stop.)She squirted WATER at me!! Like I’m a CAT!! There’s a few of those here. I’ve let them know how I feel about THEM! Stupid things. When I got here, boy, I was MAD!!! For a whole WEEK I was mad! So mad that my foster mom gave me my OWN bedroom, with a screen door on it so I could get use to the other critters. Every time she came near me, I’d try to chew off her TOES!! She had to keep a leash on me so she could get me outside. And she had to pick it up QUICKLY, because I’d try to BITE her. But she’s really kind. And I was getting lonely, so I asked her politely if I could come out of my room and have her hold me. And, of course, she said yes (but she was a bit scared). She still kept my leash on me, just in case, but one morning she took a chance and QUICKLY unbuckled it. And I didn’t try to bite her.I’m from Florida. Oh, FLORIDA!! Where it’s ALWAYS warm…and sunny…not like Michigan, where it’s been cold and grey and rainy. I had a great life with my mom in Florida, but she died, so I went to live with her granddaughter here in Michigan. But she couldn’t give me the life she felt I deserved, so she was brave and gave me to PAAW so I could find another home. And I was SO MAD!!!It’s nice here at my foster home. I made some friends (but there’s another girl dog here that I don’t like, so I start fights with her). AND…I have a boyfriend! ooOOoo!! He’s a Yorkie. Like me. I still have my own bedroom . (Sometimes he comes in my bedroom with me, hee hee hee.) My foster mom tried moving my crate and my soft bed (it’s my very own, the one I had when I moved here) out of the bedroom, but I didn’t like it. So she moved me back into the bedroom. When I want to go there, I ask her politely (I can be NICE when I want to), and she lets me in. Sometimes I go in because I’m tired. Sometimes because I want to be alone. And sometimes because I’m in a BAD MOOD. And then I SULK! With my BACK to the DOOR! Sometimes when I’m in a bad mood, she sings my name to me over and over. And it calms me.I’m 10 years old. I don’t know my birthdate. I’ve had babies (cuz I’ve got boobies!).

She doesn’t destroy them she just likes to have lots of things lol. Sort of a hoarder. She is so funny and just so much fun. Older children would be best. She is under 10 lbs and about 1.5 years old. Story
Puppy is fostered in Athens TN. Out of state welcomed. Transport may be available to the northeast or grate lakes areas and as listed on adopt a pet the transport fee is included in the adoption fee. We use rescue Ridera because they are the best! They always treat our babies with so much love and care! Meet St Nick! This boy is ready for his furever home. Will that home be yours? He is sweet and playful and loving. He’s approx 8-9 weeks old now and we are accepting adoption applications for him at petpath.org. We think he and his siblings are Chorkie mixes (chihauhua, Yorkie and wire terrier type mixes) and will not be very large. They are about 7 lbs right now and will be small to medium in size. They will bark when they have to poop to go outside so potty training has already begun. They will be neutered and current on vaccines as well as microchipped. Please share them in hopes of finding their families. Apply to adopt at petpath.org
