Story
MEET TY! Age: 6 Years  Weight: 7 lbs  Breed: Yorkshire Terrier   Ty is a sweet and social boy who was found as a stray and is now looking for his forever home. Despite his tough start, he has a heart full of love and is ready to share it with the right family! He adores attention and will thrive in a home where he can be spoiled and cherished. Ty is very affectionate and enjoys being around people.  He gets along well with other dogs and is social with cats.  He is good with dog-savvy children, making him a fantastic family pet.   Ty has a good understanding of house manners. Although he is not a fan of crating, he is adjusting to a routine.  He enjoys walks and will happily join you on outdoor adventures, however he does not do well with being tethered as he loves being close to his people. He would be an ideal addition for an active family who can give him the attention he craves. Keep in mind that as a Yorkie, Ty will need regular grooming to keep his coat looking fabulous.  If you're looking for a loving companion who will bring joy and laughter to your home, Ty might be the perfect match for you! He’s ready to start a new chapter filled with love and adventure.   Ty is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for a dental cleaning (with possible extractions) and neuter at our partner Veterinary office. ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Hello my name is Todd! I’m a 5-year-old yorkie.  I’m a spunky boy who loves to run around and explore! I love to play and carry my toys around. I would do best in a home with older children who are dog savvy as I’m not a fan of being handled and will steal toys. I have a underbite and some funny bottom teeth but foster mom just says it adds character! I tend to be a sassy at times and have resource guarding issues. I’m not fully potty trained yet and I’m having a hard time learning it so I will need a home that can be patient with that. My perfect forever home would be with someone who is home often and can help me work on my training, if I could be the only pet in the home that would be best! I could be good with dogs and cats with training but as my resource guarding tends to make me not like my things touched it would be better for me to be the only child. I’m a very sweet boy just need some help to bring out my potential! If sound like I could be your future best friend send in an application to meet me! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 4, 2024, 7:53 am

Story
Marvelous Mollie is such a gentle and playful little girl. She was one of 42 surrendered to various rescues from a retiring backyard breeder. She has lived the majority of her life in an outside pen with multiple other dogs. She hoped the larger dogs left her food. She is still skittish but comes up for love and affection when I sit or lie down. She has done wonderfully with her house training as she is taken out on at regular intervals. She is not leash trained yet as she is just getting used to wearing a collar. She will require a fenced area until she learns the leash. She is completely vetted and microchipped. Mollie had beautiful long white hair like a silky, but unfortunately, she was so matted in areas that she had to be shaved. This sweet girl is fostered in E. TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road. Please email us for an adoption application.
