Story
ojo is a little seven pound doggie who is three years old and he's losing his home. His person is moving out of state and she has had a health issue and needs to give up her two pets. Jojo and her cat Aaron. Jojo likes other small dogs and cats and we'd love to find them a home together but we know that might not be possible. We are looking for a home where someone is home and not working out of the house or works opposite schedule from others in the house so he's not home alone waiting for his person or people all day or night long. He'd love another small dog to hang with. We are looking for a non smoking home. If you would like more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Hello my name is Todd! I’m a 5-year-old yorkie.  I’m a spunky boy who loves to run around and explore! I love to play and carry my toys around. I would do best in a home with older children who are dog savvy as I’m not a fan of being handled and will steal toys. I have a underbite and some funny bottom teeth but foster mom just says it adds character! I tend to be a sassy at times and have resource guarding issues. I’m not fully potty trained yet and I’m having a hard time learning it so I will need a home that can be patient with that. My perfect forever home would be with someone who is home often and can help me work on my training, if I could be the only pet in the home that would be best! I could be good with dogs and cats with training but as my resource guarding tends to make me not like my things touched it would be better for me to be the only child. I’m a very sweet boy just need some help to bring out my potential! If sound like I could be your future best friend send in an application to meet me! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 4, 2024, 7:53 am

Story
Marvelous Mollie is such a gentle and playful little girl. She was one of 42 surrendered to various rescues from a retiring backyard breeder. She has lived the majority of her life in an outside pen with multiple other dogs. She hoped the larger dogs left her food. She is still skittish but comes up for love and affection when I sit or lie down. She has done wonderfully with her house training as she is taken out on at regular intervals. She is not leash trained yet as she is just getting used to wearing a collar. She will require a fenced area until she learns the leash. She is completely vetted and microchipped. Mollie had beautiful long white hair like a silky, but unfortunately, she was so matted in areas that she had to be shaved. This sweet girl is fostered in E. TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road. Please email us for an adoption application.

Story
She was dropped off at the shelter by a homeless man who we think was the owner of the dog but he said she wasn't his that he found her and decided to turn her in because he had no way of helping her. She is a Yorkie and she is about 10 years old. She is deaf but can see really well. She also has some hair loss on her backside from a bad flea infestation that has since been taken care of by the vet. Some of the hair is coming back but the vet says he doubts that it will all come back but some of it has. She is good with dogs, cats and kids. She is up to date on all shots, spayed and housebroken. She just needs someone to love her and take care of her. She has a lot of love to give to the right family. We have named her Little Bit. She came in but didn't have a name so we thought that Little Bit would be good for now. Little Bit is being fostered in TN but we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. The transport fee is included in the price.

We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time!
