To learn more about Sweet Thing, reach out to saucers0128@gmail.com Sweet Thing may be small in stature but she's a giant in potential. With her big, soulful eyes and a heart full of curiosity, this tiny treasure is ready to bring joy to a special home! Sweet Thing has a unique charm that comes with some special needs. She is a puppy mill survivor with neurological issues, and is looking for a compassionate adopter who is willing to provide her with the extra care and attention she needs. A calm and patient home where she can move at her own pace will be ideal. A resident dog would be helpful in teaching her how to "dog" in a loving home environment. In her foster home, she is finding her safe spaces, and is starting to follow the resident dogs outside to sniff & potty - it's just a matter of time before she learns the ropes and gains confidence. Due to her balance issues, a secure environment is crucial. Sweet Thing's ideal adopter will be someone with a big heart, patience, and a love for dogs with unique needs. If you have a gentle touch, an understanding of the special care Sweet Thing requires, and a desire to make a positive difference in a deserving dog's life, Sweet Thing could be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Carter. This scruffy little guy came from an owner who was not properly caring for him. He was crated in the garage for several months after his owner had a new baby and thankfully a family member became concerned for his welfare and reached out to Worthy Dog for help. We know he’s going to be a popular pup and the best is yet to come for him. Carter is now in a foster home with a mom, a teen son, and two dogs. He does well as part of a pack but is best paired with an active pup with a similar passion for play. Carter was anxious when he first arrived, which is understandable coming from living in isolation, but after some time to settle in he is now a more relaxed pup and his cute, happy personality is shining through. While he’s still an active and playful pup, he also appreciates chill time. He ends each evening curled up with his foster mom on the couch watching TV. Carter is crate-trained and sleeps all night in the crate without a peep. His foster mom works from home so she doesn’t use it much during the day but will crate him if she leaves for any extended period. Carter has done well with potty training once he figured out the routine. He never has accidents in his crate and will need more frequent potty breaks when he’s in a new home environment. Carter loves to go on walks and his foster mom practices with him daily. He will still bark at dogs sometimes, but he does not react to people, runners, or bikers, so his leash skills have improved but are a work in progress. This active and playful boy needs an owner who understands the Terrier breed. He needs someone to give him structure and routine and be committed to his daily walks and playtime. Carter is passionate about life and is best paired with a fun, active family, and another playful pup in the home would be ideal, but not required — he’s confident enough to be an only dog. This cutie is sure to add a little energy to your home and entertain you. He’ll be coming to the DC metro area in October. ***Carter is a normal Terrier who can be vocal at times so is not ideal for apt/condo living*** Apply today! Story
Chewbacca is the sweetest little nugget you'll ever meet who is always at your side snuggled up. He's a terrier though, so he can be feisty walking by other dogs on a leash but he's all bark and no bite. He adores his people and would do best in a home with children, another playful small dog and a family who is home often. He does mark inside on occasion but is housetrained most of the time. He is fostered ni Houston TX and will be transported upon adoption His fee is $850.
