Benny is a sweet little dog. He has had a rough road since he’s been in this little world. He was in a puppy mill and he has had some special issues since we have had him, but we feel that he is ready for his forever loving well deserved home we feel that he would be better with one person a lady preferred a quiet home, no other animals he is potty trained on puppy pads. Lewie is a sweet boy that was surrendered to us because the owner claimed to have allergies. He is about a year and a half old and weighs about 17 lbs. Lewie is a little shy at first but then just wants to be loved. He is neutered, UTD on required vaccines, HW tested negative and microchipped. He does seem to be housetrained. He is also a little shy around other dogs but would slowly warm up. He is not aggressive in any way but he is a little afraid at first. He just needs a safe secure loving home and family. Because of his initial shyness we will be looking for a home with no small children. They were surrendered to our rescue the owner was going into a nursing home and no one was there to take care of the dogs.   This darling boy is called Lil Deuce Coup and he's a lively boy that is currently being tormented by a 3 year old child.   HD us 8 years old and a Yorkie mix weighing 9 pounds.  Getting groomed this week and a full vet visit with bloodwork done and microchipped.   This guy has kept his cool since the baby was born but enough us enough. At one time he was potty trained but currently he is not.  You know the story.  Baby comes later after dog was raised as their 'baby' and then potty training goes out the window.  This is reversible and we have tips to change it.  Lil Coup deserves a long life of peace and tranquility!  Can you give test to him? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and nearby areas.  Please read ADOPTION INFO on the left side of our website to learn about the adoption application process.   Lillian comes to us from southern WV.  Her previous guardian passed away.  Lillian's just ready for a relaxed, quiet, comfortable home, like she's ready for a retirement community!!!  We think she's around 6 years old, but could be younger or older...it's hard to tell.  She might be 5 and have lived a hard life thus far.  We're just not sure of her actual age. Lillian would do best in a home with another small breed canine sibling, as she loves to cuddle with other dogs. She does fine with other dogs, but we're not sure if she's cat friendly.  We recommend no small children, as she's an older gal who wants quiet and limited activities. She's fine with kids older than 10.  She's cautious around new people. She's not so much a runner, but could be difficult to catch if she got away.  Lillian is super sweet, loves to lick her human's hand, and is a very nice girl.  She's working on her house training skills, so be prepared to continue her path to being fully house trained.  She's not totally comfortable on a leash, so that will also be part of her continuing education!   She'll require a fully fenced, secure yard.  No electric fencing, no underground fencing, and no doggy door.  These are not negotiable topics. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Penny came to us from a breeder in southern West Virginia.  It has taken her a little time to get acclimated to living indoors. She is a very laid-back Yorkie And prefers to spend her days snuggled in a nice, comfy dog bed.   She absolutely has to have a fenced in yard and would prefer to have someone home during the day or with another dog. She has been working on her house, training skills and learning how to go in and out side to the back yard. Because she has lived most of her life outside. It pains us that this is the last resort for our 10 year old companion. Polo came into our life shortly after we married. He's been a ball of joy and burst of energy. We purchased Polo from a reputable breeder in Houston. Until recently, Polo has never had any major health issues. In July, while housed with our sitter, he was playing and jumped from the bed, dislocating his left hip. Since dislocation, and an attempt to put it back in place - it's been determined surgery would be the next step. Unfortunately, at this time, our family can't afford the surgery expense and believe it would be best to rehome Polo. Polo is fun loving, has loved our girls from infancy to now. Having him confined to a playpen isn't ideal and we would love to have the right family take him in and love him just as much as he'll love you!

Meet Milo!!!  This special boy is a 4 1/2 year old, 11 lbs maltipoo.  He is the complete package.  This sweet boy is good with other dogs both big and small.  He is also good with cats.  Milo is an active little guy that has the best time running and playing with his foster brothers and sisters.  They all have the best time in their fenced in yard.  Milo really enjoys playing but he is also all about the most important thing--YOU!  Milo loves his foster mom.  If she sits down he is right there.  If she goes to the kitchen Milo is right behind her to see if he can help.  At bed time, you got it, trotting down the hall with you.  This great guy would be an excellent companion for a young single person or a great addition to a family with children 6 and older.  (to our knowledge he has not been around toddlers and we don't want to set him up for failure.)  Milo is so small that he could go everywhere with you that doggies are allowed even in the airplane on vacation!  This boy does not want to be left behind.  Milo is ready for a late new year celebration when he meets his forever family.  Hopefully that will be with you.  To be considered for Milo's frever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcaast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Milo is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)January 6, 2025, 2:04 pm
