Adoption Fee: $100 Age: 13 years Weight: 5 lbs. Fostered in Covington, LA Email: bryorkiemom@yahoo.com 1/9/26 - Rubee was previously being fostered in San Antonio, Texas, but she and the other female yorkie in the home weren't getting along. We now know that Rubee must go to a home without a female dog. She seems to do fine with the males. Guess she doesn't like competing for the Queen title. She is now in another YHR foster home in Covington, Louisiana. She just arrived today and is settling in nicely. 12/23/25 - Rubee wants to wish everyone an early Merry Christmas and let everyone know that she is still waiting on her forever home where she can be the queen of the house. She would love to be the only dog, but at the least, not have a fur-sister. lol Seems the opposite sex would be ok, but she isn't feeling having a sister. Know yourself Rubee!! 10/20/25 - Hi! My name is Rubee like the gemstone (just spelled different). However, what we do have in common is that, like the gemstone, I have exceptional beauty and am very unique. You would think something so rare, would not be in a rescue. Which brings me to my story. I happily lived with my mom for all of my 13 years until recently. Our circumstances changed and mom had to make the tough decision to reach out to rescue so I could find another home. This really hurt both of us tremendously, but we know it was for the best. Yes, if you are doing math in your head right now, that makes me a senior, or as I like to call myself, Vintage! Let’s be clear, I’m the whole package. A solid 5 pounds of perfectly curated fluff. My teeth have been officially retired, so I am a soft-food connoisseur. And my eyes? A bit cloudy, perhaps, but my vision is good enough—especially for spotting you returning from a brief absence when I will do a happy dance. While we are on the subject, let’s talk about these absences. I like them to be very few and far between because when you leave, I get very anxious and break out in song. Ok, maybe not song so much as whine (for a long time – I’m no quitter). So, I’m thinking retired parents are the way to go. I have a few quirks, but think of them as my signature charm. First, I am a people-dog, not a dog-dog. I would actually prefer to be the only furbaby, but if we must have another, I prefer a cat. I will not play second fiddle to another dog in the house, but especially not another female dog. I get very jealous and have no problem stirring up trouble. I'm a cuddle champion and will happily sleep with you every night. I'm so smart I can even use the doggy stairs to get on and off the bed. When I’m not demanding attention, I’m a calm and serene companion, perfectly content with the quiet sounds of a house. I’m also an intellectual, having mastered the doggy stairs. I love my daily walks, but I'm most content in your lap. Small children and I probably won’t mix. I like a peaceful, predictable environment and let’s face it, sometimes they bring the chaos. I’m very smart (as I have learned the doggy door at my foster home already). I also love going for walks. I’m not a big fan of playing with toys as that might make me perspire. But when the foster siblings play, I quickly tattle to foster mom. That roughhousing is ridiculous. I love foster mom and dad the same and love to cuddle on the couch with either, but when it’s bedtime, I scurry up the doggy steps and quickly snuggle up right by foster mom. So, I’m smart, I’m charming, and I’m ready for my next loyal subject. I have so much love to give, and I'm ready to find a human who wants a loyal, loving shadow for the rest of my life. Let me bring a little exceptional beauty and vintage charm to your life. 10/9/25 - BIO COMING SOON!

Story
My wife and I just welcomed a baby last week and as we prepare to take him home, Mello could use a home that he can get the attention he deserves. He's 12 years old and up to date on all of his medical records. He's protective towards women and he doesn't do so well when I approach my wife or kid while he's nearby. Please consider giving him a home to go to. I'm not interested in potential options if I can't find you on Facebook

Story
Adoption Fee: $600 Age: 7 months Weight: 5 lbs. Fostered in Baton Rouge, LA Email: bryorkiemom@yahoo.com 12/26/25 - I had me a Merry Christmas, I had me a Merry Christmas, I had me a Merry Christmas, now need a home for the New Year! Hi, my name is Charlie, and on New Year’s Day. I will be seven months old. Just two short months ago, I was living a horrible existence in a rundown shed in the backwoods of nowhere. I was the last of a litter and for some reason had not found a home yet. My living conditions were deplorable, my landlord was the scum of the Earth, and I never knew if my next meal was coming or not. Then all of a sudden, one day, in walked a lady with angel wings on her back. She had heard about me around town and decided to come and rescue me. She scooped me up from there, put me in her car, took me home, cleaned me up, fed me and talked sweet to me. I was not used to any of this, but I welcomed it all. Since I had very little human contact for 6 months and no one really ever spoke to me, this was new to me and I was kind of afraid and anxious. But my rescuer walked me through it and treated me so good. She was not in a position to actually own a puppy at the time, but she saved me anyway to start me on my journey. From there, she connected with Yorkie Haven Rescue to make sure that my future would be all that it could ever be. Now I’m in a foster home with other dogs, toys to play with, comfy beds, everywhere, good food, and treats that taste as if they just fell from heaven. With all of this positivity, I’m coming into my own personality and acting like a puppy should act. I’m playing with toys, I’m running around spastically, I have the attention span of a hummingbird on crack, and I wake up every day ready to take on the world. I never knew life could be so great. But on the flipside, I’m a sweet, lovable, kissy-kissy little guy that wants to please. I’m working on the potty training and currently wear a belly band when I cannot be watched because I will make mistakes. I cannot be blamed for this since I’ve only had 60 days of freedom where I did not use the bathroom where I had to sleep. You can’t expect a prisoner that has totally be treated like their existence doesn’t matter to have all the social and etiquette skills without some routine and structure. And I have a small bladder. Foster mom and dad say I’m doing really well as far as puppies go. I’m keeping my chewing on things that aren’t meant for chewing to a minimum, so far. Oh, except for the rug under the kitchen table and trying to run off with a piece of mulch or two out in the yard. The good news is when I’m sternly told “No”, I listen. I even like the discipline. When it’s time to go to bed, I lay down and crash. But when the sun comes up, watch out! I eat like it’s my last meal and enjoy every day like it’s my last day. I know it’s not now, but old habits are sometimes hard to break. I need a home that has a fenced in yard since I like to run around outside and doing my business on the end of a leash would feel like torture. Although, I’m cool going for walks. Small children and an active house are a no-no since I’m so small and still timid if things are too loud or rowdy. It would be ideal for me to have another young small dog to play with and learn from. I also would not do well being left for long periods Anyway, I know I’ve kept you long enough and should wrap up this bio, so, what do you say? If you are ready for a lifetime of tail wagging, puppy kissing, and endless adventures, I’m just an adoption application away. Let’s make this New Year the start of something special together. 12/14/25 - BIO COMING SOON (Charlie just recently entered the program)!

Story
Adoption Fee: $400 Age: 3.5 years Weight: 15.2 lbs. Fostered in Baton Rouge, LA Email: bryorkiemom@yahoo.com 11/5/25 - BIO COMING SOON! 11/9/25 - Hi, my name is Sarge and I was surrendered by my family when they realized they made a jump decision in getting me and then did not have time for me. It’s really sad when you think about it. Getting something and then just discarding it like its feelings, safety and life do not matter, all because someone did not think seriously about a decision before they made it. Well, I’m thinking seriously about the family that I choose. See, this time, I have a voice in this choice. So, I guess I need to tell you a little about myself. As I said, my name is Sarge and I am a happy, boisterous, loving, smiling, playing, exploring, existence of a four-legged companion. I’m always up for anything. You want to go walking? Let’s go! Down for a snack and nap? Right up my alley. Want to snuggle in with some popcorn and a movie? Now, you’re talking my language. Want to just go sit in the backyard and enjoy the sunshine and watch the leaves fall from trees? I’m your man. Basically, I’m a 100% all around easy snuggle bunny of a pet. I love sleeping in bed with my humans, I eat with no problem, I’m friendly with all people I meet, I walk well on a harness and leash, I’m not barker, normal inside noises don’t rattle me, I take any medicine fine with a pill pocket and I’m not annoyingly clingy like most yorkies are. I’m not a jumper, so I will need assistance getting on and off the chair, sofa and bed. Foster mom says this is a good thing since I won’t tear an ACL jumping. Low key confession, I probably would jump if I wasn’t overweight. There, I said it. I’m husky, fat, vertically challenged, heavy!! I’m working on it though. I’m trying to eat less, although that’s hard, because I am a chow hound. I’m in a foster home with other dogs smaller than I am. I’m fine with other dogs my size, larger than me and cats. But I will say that the longer I’m here, I get more attached to my foster mom and can try to throw my weight around by growling at the others at times. Mainly during feeding time. So, I will need a parent that will not put up with my jealously and another dog friend that will put me in my place wouldn’t hurt. I’m pretty good with my potty habits, but foster mom has pee pads, so my next home will need those. I won’t lie, mistakes do happen, but no one is perfect. I might pick up a toy here and there, but I don’t play with them. Maybe later I’ll learn that they are fun. So, that’s my story. What’s yours??
