🐱 Cat-friendly 🐱 Two little gents. One unbreakable bond. Meet brothers Ozzy and Charlie: two 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mixes (about 15 pounds each) who have spent their lives side by side and have absolutely no plans to change that. They’re a true package deal in every sense of the word. But they didn’t want us to do all the talking (they have opinions), so you’ll be hearing from them along the way. Ozzy: “I just like to go with the flow.” Charlie: “And I like to improve the flow.” They’re happiest sticking close – following you around and settling in wherever you are, preferably somewhere comfortable. Charlie: “Speaking of comfort, we sleep in the bed.” Ozzy: “That part is not up for discussion.” They’re friendly with other dogs and have been curious and respectful around cats. Ozzy: “We’re house trained.” Charlie: “What he said.” Ozzy: “We’re not big on crates. Or being put in a room by ourselves.” Charlie: “Yeah, we’re fun guys… that seems silly.” They much prefer being part of whatever you’re doing. They also come when called and are currently working on “leave it.” Ozzy: “We’re also working on leash walking.” Charlie: “Define ‘working.’” Ozzy: “We’re trying.” They’d do best in a calm home without small children, where things feel predictable and relaxed. Think: a slower pace with two little shadows never far from your side. A fenced yard will also be important for these two. Ozzy: “We’re not super into toys.” Charlie: “Unless the toy is a blanket or a pillow. Or you.” Ozzy: “Oh yes, we like naps.” Charlie: “We love naps.” Ozzy and Charlie keep each other company, balance each other out, and bring a quiet, steady kind of love that only comes from years of being side by side. Charlie: “We’ve got each other.” Ozzy: “Now we just need you.” Ozzy and Charlie are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Gus is approximately 5 years old. He was so sadly dumped in an extremely rural area all alone. I have had him for the past several months and he has been doing great with the other animals, teenagers, and grandbabies. I took him to my vet and he got all of his shots and had some tests ran. He is heartworm negative and appears to be in very good health. Once he got a clean bill of health, he was taken to the groomer for a good deep clean and a little bit of a trim. He is feeling pretty great about himself now! He seems like he would prefer to have a specific person. My pomsky is a big baby and they both want to be that specially one connected furbaby. We would love to find him his special person that will love him and make him part of their family.

Story
Canela was born December 25th, 2017. She was the baby of the litter and has always been pretty feisty and vocal. She is very playful, loves shredding stuffed toys, and highly treat motivated. She would love to spend the day by your side getting cuddles and undivided attention, which can also be an issue.We have another dog, Chiweenie breed, and she's always been the more dominant one. She got along with him pretty well but did witness him getting attacked by another dog. I don't know if this lead her to dislike other dogs, but her interactions with other dogs have been hit and miss.Sadly, her need for undivided attention and jealousy has lead us to making the decision to rehome her. She deserves the attention but when she didn't receive it, she started showing signs of aggression towards our toddler and we cannot keep her in a stressed situation. She loves people and she at some point loved other kids, just not when we had our own that took attention from her.

Ziggy and siblings were relinquished to animal control after family left on property. Mom and dad of doggies were taking and these three remained. They are scared and unsure, and why wouldn't they be. once they experience love, care and compassion that will all change. They are loving the attention and support at the vet and will shine when they get into their new homes.
