  Yoshi is a delightful little boy, full of personality and absolutely adorable!   A purebred Yorkshire Terrier, 5 years old and 7.5 pounds of cuteness.  He would do best in a single family home as he will bark at noises and, occasionally, when left alone.  He LOVES all people and will cuddle up with a stranger. Larger dogs make Yoshi a little nervous but he is good with other dogs and likes to play with the cat in his foster home.  He enjoys going for walks, car rides and playing with his stuffed toys.  Yoshi is a great snuggler for naps and sleeps in his fosters' bed soundly.  Yoshi is extremely smart, learns things very easily and uses dog stairs .   He also likes to dress up and, if you hold him like a human baby, he will fall asleep in your arms.       Yoshi is working on potty training and will be available for adoption after January 20   The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! Lulu is an absolute sweetheart who lives for cuddles, lap time, and giving sweet little kisses to her favorite person. She would be thrilled to spend her days curled up on the couch getting scratches and soaking up attention. She would do especially well with a quiet, adult-only household where she can be the center of attention. Lulu has a specific feeding routine to help her feel safe and secure. No worries! Mellie is a gorgeous Terrier/Yorkie mix ready for a forever home. She came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. She loves greeting staff and rolling in the grass. She is looking for a home without other dogs. She can be dog reactive on leash, which can make walks more difficult, so a yard would be beneficial. Mellie can be nervous with new people, so she will require a slow introduction. She is looking for a calm home without children. Mellie LOVES to run around outside and play with toys. She can get mouthy when she gets super playful or over excited.

Story
Reno is a sweet yorkie looking for an experienced patient family that speaks 'dog'. Reno is a breeder release from a commercial facility. He hasn't had the benefit a dog his age might have who was born and living in a home. That being said, while he is scared and timid, once he feels safe he is longing to bond with a family. After he has been with us a while he has come around and really wants to Velcro to a person of his own. . He needs family who will help him slowly decompress and adjust in his own time. Reno is a friendly gentle fella. He needs help on learning to potty outside with a scheduled routine. He has been partly getting the hang of pee pads. He needs a fenced in yard for his potty place. He's scared to go outside and doesn't understand leash walking. He can go into a home with another dog, but he isn't really interested in other dogs, he wants to cling to people instead. He will now jump on his person' calf to get their attention and get some love.. He wants to be close. Once he settles in she will follow you room to room to be close . Like all dogs, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs, not only to give Reno important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Reno is 1 year 9 months old and fully vetted. He has been neutered, heartworm negative, had a dental, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption fee is $1200..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Reno wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt only in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate for Reno, please fill out an application for his adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption. The first step in the process is to complete an application. We are all volunteers with full-time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. We are an in home foster volunteer group. Rolex is a silly goose! Maltese boy with exceptional personality and 100% stud muffin He’s an older guy, would do fine with kids and other dogs. He’s a lap dog though. We don’t see cats being a bother, as he’s a happy-go-lucky guy.  He’s so ugly, he’s cute..   His lamby looks like him.His name is Rolex, he looks more like a Casio, but definitely has the heart of a Rolex. He is the sweetest pumpkin ever!! He is playful for his age, but not too much. He loves to carry small stuffed babies around in his mouth and likes to collect his treasures in his kennel. He loves to snuggle and will sit on your lap and stare at you like you hung the moon. He’s perfect!   He is kennel trained and is doing well going potty outside!  Rolex got a makeover with some top notch grooming. He's super handsome now.  ##2602168##
