Story
Hi! My name is Willa, and I’m looking for my forever family!   I am approximately a year old, 8.5 pounds, and have lots of love and energy to give to my humans. Not much is known about my past, as I was brought in as a stray, and I can be a bit shy when I first meet you, but if you take the time to get to know me and earn my trust, I’ll be your most loving companion.   Despite the fact that I am considered a young adult, I still love to explore the world with my mouth, so I am still a little “mouthy” like a puppy, but in a playful way. However, I do promise to be a good girl. I love playing with squeaky toys and chewing on some bones.   I currently live with 2 small dog foster siblings and get along with them just fine. One of them is a little bossy and takes the lead, but I’m ok being a follower in the pack. If you have another dog in the home, they should be somewhat laid back and not easily upset when I try to play with them. I’m still young and learning, and haven’t quite mastered doggy social cues when my foster siblings do not want to play.   My foster mom says that while I don’t require a fenced in backyard, I’ve got some energy to burn and would love to go on frequent walks with you, just make sure I’m harnessed up tight! I have gotten loose out of the house before and since I think everything is a game right now, it was a bit difficult to get me back inside. I would be best in a home that does not have any small children (under age 5) due to my quirks and energy. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          February 9, 2025, 9:49 am

Story
If you&#39re looking for an adorable Yorkie/Mix, Kylee is the girl for you! She is a senior girl who was sadly surrendered to a Metro Atlanta Shelter before BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled her. She weighs just 12lbs, and is the ultimate companion - she is both sweet and social! Due to her age, Kylee doesn&#39t have great vision or hearing, but she doesn&#39t let that slow her down. She is healthy otherwise, but only has 1 tooth left, so she requires soft dog food for her meals. When she&#39s not heading out for a stroll (her favorite activity!), Kylee spends most of her day snoozing and would love a comfortable lap or sofa to spend the rest of her days on! We would love to find a wonderful home for this loving and deserving girl. Kylee is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.January 3, 2025, 6:28 pm

Story
Shyla is an adorable 7year old little girl!. She's cute as a button and so very sweet! She is crate-trained and listens well. She is pretty quiet although once or twice a day she mixes it up with one of my dogs and has a good little play session for herself. She loves to eat so no problems with a picky eater. Unfortunately she is not housebroken. She does manage to hit the pee pads most of the time however. She does have a few health issues. She has calcification in her eyes which impair her vision a bit but I've really never noticed an issue. She is on medication for this. She is a bit arthritic and requires daily medication to be comfortable. I've seen an enormous difference in her since she's been on it. She also had surgery for a tumor on her tummy and ended up having a whole mammary chain removed due to cancer. It's hoped that this took care of it but, of course, she should be monitored. She is such a love and will be a delight to have in your home! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Yes I was a holy mess, but at one time I must have been beautiful, because once I was groomed I look like a princess. I had a micro-chip, but whoever owned me let me get like this, or I was out on my own for some time. The mats were so tight all over I could hardly walk. In addition to being a holy mess, I had tumors the size of golf balls and baseballs on my body. My rescue family took care of all my medical issues and now I'm ready for my forever home. I'm so affectionate, and active. I'd love a family with older children (over 12) because I'm only about 8-10lbs. I must have a fenced yard...NON NEGOTIABLE. It doesn't have to be acreage, but large enough so I can romp around a bit. I've got a strong personality so I would be best as an only dog. I've not had any problems at rescue, but during some trials I've behaved like a bully. The shelter had my age as 11, but I act like I'm 7 or 8. If your looking for a sweet Yorkie, I'm your girl!

Story
Benji came to us on his final hour at animal control. Benji was owner surrendered with another dog who had already got rescued. Benji had lived outdoors all his life and had not been vetted. Benji’s hair was severely matted and tight to his skin. Benji was shaved down during his neuter surgery. Once his hair grows back out he will be beautiful. We know he has to feel much better. He will need to be regularly groomed. Benji loves people and now that he’s been completely vetted and lived inside has learned to be a great little dog. Benji walks well on a leash and is housetrained. Benji does not understand a crate and it is best he is not crated. Benji would love to be cared for and loved and would be your best friend. Benji is 15 lbs and is 6 years old. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com. You must have a vet reference to adopt. We verify the care of past/current pets. Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest.
