Story
Hi my name is Peanut Butter aka Peanutty, little bit or itty bitty! My foster mom says I am the the most perfect puppy ever! She keeps telling me what a good girl I am because I potty outside. She also said I’m her favorite foster but she thinks I would do best in a home by myself or with another small dog or even a cat friend would be ok. My small size keeps me uncomfortable around big dogs. I’m really looking for people that wants a professional lap warmer since that is where I prefer to be most of the day. When I’m not warming up your lap I like to be wherever you are. I like to follow you from room to room just to make sure you are not doing anything without me. While you shower I will gladly stand guard. I also like to take naps with you. I’m good at cuddling and prefer to sleep with my person. And I almost forgot the best part!!! I give the BEST kisses! I like to give as many as I can and as often as possible. My best ones are the ones that catch you by surprise. If you think I am the perfect fit then apply on the MACS Friends website!December 21, 2024, 10:20 pm

Story
Benji came to us on his final hour at animal control. Benji was owner surrendered with another dog who had already got rescued. Benji had lived outdoors all his life and had not been vetted. Benji’s hair was severely matted and tight to his skin. Benji was shaved down during his neuter surgery. Once his hair grows back out he will be beautiful. We know he has to feel much better. He will need to be regularly groomed. Benji loves people and now that he’s been completely vetted and lived inside has learned to be a great little dog. Benji walks well on a leash and is housetrained. Benji does not understand a crate and it is best he is not crated. Benji would love to be cared for and loved and would be your best friend. Benji is 15 lbs and is 6 years old. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com. You must have a vet reference to adopt. We verify the care of past/current pets. Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest.

Story
Shyla is an adorable 7year old little girl!. She's cute as a button and so very sweet! She is crate-trained and listens well. She is pretty quiet although once or twice a day she mixes it up with one of my dogs and has a good little play session for herself. She loves to eat so no problems with a picky eater. Unfortunately she is not housebroken. She does manage to hit the pee pads most of the time however. She does have a few health issues. She has calcification in her eyes which impair her vision a bit but I've really never noticed an issue. She is on medication for this. She is a bit arthritic and requires daily medication to be comfortable. I've seen an enormous difference in her since she's been on it. She also had surgery for a tumor on her tummy and ended up having a whole mammary chain removed due to cancer. It's hoped that this took care of it but, of course, she should be monitored. She is such a love and will be a delight to have in your home! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Atlanta, GA INTRODUCING REMINGTON We know, we know. We did say that we were done for the year due to the need for building up donations and simply put, we are very hesitant to adopt out dogs during the holiday season. We want to ensure that our dogs are adopted out as a lifetime commitment and never as holiday “presents”. But sometimes we find ourselves in extenuating circumstances - like with Remington. You see, Remington (Remi for short) was in need of being rehomed after his Grandma was diagnosed with cancer and dementia. His mom became a full time caretaker and just couldn’t keep up anymore - so we decided to step in. Remi is a 1 year old male blonde Yorkshire terrier (potentially mixed - Embark DNA test is pending) who is dog friendly, cat friendly and child friendly. If you’re looking for a snuggly lap dog and a 24/7 Velcro dog who doesn’t want to leave your side but is always up for an adventure - Remi might just be your guy! Remi has been vetted (excluding boosters upcoming in January), neutered, has had a dental cleaning and is microchipped. Yorkshire terriers are a high maintenance breed that require daily grooming. Additionally, adopters should be prepared for daily dental brushing and regular professional dental cleanings. Remi's current weight is 8 lbs. He is house trained and crate trained, however due to how tiny he is he can only hold his bladder for about 5 hours excluding overnight while he's sleeping. Remington is not trained to use potty pads. Again, we want to ensure applicants understand that Remi is NOT a Christmas present. He will live (God willing) another 15-20+ years with proper care and nutrition. If you are interested, please submit an application on our website: https://themadduxmovement.godaddysites.com/adoption-application **Adoption Fees are listed on our Available Dogs page on our website** ____________________________________________ The Maddux Movement is a non-profit foster based rescue located in Atlanta, GA. Our mission is to rescue and rehome animals that are in abusive, neglectful or endangering situations, which includes traditional or open admission shelters, strays, owner surrenders and puppy mills. Adoptions are not based on a first come first serve basis. The individual(s) selected will be chosen by what is best for each animal. Although our rescue is breed focused, we are not a breed restrictive rescue. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (including leptospirosis and canine influenza). Additionally, each adopted dog will be sent home with a personalized adoption kit, a copy of The Forever Dog Life by Rodney Habib and Dr. Karen Becker and a complimentary dog blanket.

Story
If you&#39re looking for an adorable Yorkie/Mix, Kylee is the girl for you! She is a senior girl who was sadly surrendered to a Metro Atlanta Shelter before BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled her. She weighs just 12lbs, and is the ultimate companion - she is both sweet and social! Due to her age, Kylee doesn&#39t have great vision or hearing, but she doesn&#39t let that slow her down. She is healthy otherwise, but only has 1 tooth left, so she requires soft dog food for her meals. When she&#39s not heading out for a stroll (her favorite activity!), Kylee spends most of her day snoozing and would love a comfortable lap or sofa to spend the rest of her days on! We would love to find a wonderful home for this loving and deserving girl. Kylee is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.November 3, 2024, 9:25 pm
