Story
A SWEET & LOVELY GAL:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 20 lbs. & needs to lose some weight Hi there, I’m Suri!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and now I’m getting a second chance at a happy life. I needed bloodwork and a good dental cleaning when I arrived and I've had those now, thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait to find my happily ever after!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I wasn’t interested in them, though I did not show any aggression, so if you have a dog that isn’t looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a gentle, adorable and fluffy sweetheart who’s just had a fresh haircut. I’m a pretty easy pup — friendly and sweet, which makes hanging out with me a breeze. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, you’ll see just how sweet and loving I am.  Despite my age and weight, I currently have no issues going up and down stairs, enjoy a few shorter walks throughout the day, and the occasional chasing of a small frog in my foster’s yard.  During our walks, I sometimes do a little “reverse allergy sneeze,” which sounds like a funny snort — it’s harmless and passes quickly.  / Energy level: 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and I bet you can teach me even more.  / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and am doing well in my foster home at night as well as when my foster is away (a little treat to get me in there is always appreciated). / I only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule and am doing well in my foster home, so hopefully that will translate to doing well in my new home, too – of course there may be an adjustment period, and I do like to drink a lot of water. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy spending time with the nice volunteers and make a great front desk assistant / greeter to the friendly people coming to visit the shelter.  I just really enjoy people and being petted.  In my foster home, I am pretty chill and don’t care to play much – I just want to hang with the people.  I do enjoy a peanut butter Kong and other healthy weight-loss friendly treats (which I frequently beg my foster for).  Naps are great and I look forward to my average 8-9 hours of sleep each night, from around 10pm to 7am.  I cuddle with my foster on the couch, but need some help getting up there.  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we will like doing together. / I don’t seem to love being outside – just take me to the bathroom and I’m ready to come back inside. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I came in with some fur loss and not sure if I’ll grow that fur back, but I don’t mind and I hope you won’t either.  I had 1 tooth pulled during my dental cleaning and my mouth is feeling fresh again.  I’ve been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and I’m on a medication called Vetoryl that I’ll need to stay on for life.  I also had 2 small cysts removed from my belly.  I also take an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin which is good for all older doggies.  I’m trying some allergy medication, so just ask about that.   I’m so thankful that I was rescued and that I’ve gotten the much-needed vet care and love from all the nice folks at Mostly Mutts, and now I can’t wait to find my new family that will continue that love and good care.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  August 28, 2025, 11:48 am

Story
Meet Sophia Belle, a tiny, 5-pound, Yorkie sweetheart who is all about snuggles, softness, and staying close to her people. At just 2 years old, she has a calm, relaxed vibe and would love nothing more than to curl up in your lap or beside you on the couch for a cozy nap. Sophia Belle walks nicely on a leash (or very close to it), is crate trained, and does well when left alone, making her a lovely little companion for someone who wants a low-key best friend.   This dainty girl is friendly with men, women, older kids, and small dogs, and she simply needs a little time to warm up when meeting new people, which is typical for many Yorkies and other small breeds. Once she feels safe, her playful side comes out - she loves squeaky toys, will happily run and fetch, and then settle right back in for cuddles. Because she is so tiny, she will do best in an adult home or one with teens and up, where everyone understands how to handle a small dog gently and safely.   Sophia Belle is scheduled for her spay and dental on 12/23 and will be ready for her forever home once she has healed and her vetting is complete. She is still working on potty training and is not yet housebroken, so her new family will need to be patient, consistent, and able to take her out every 1.5–2 hours to help her succeed and continue her progress. With a calm home, gentle humans, and a bit of structure, Sophia Belle will blossom into an incredibly loving little shadow for a very lucky adopter. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          December 22, 2025, 5:53 pm

Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! He’d do great as an only dog or as a second dog. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people, including kids / Needs a bit more time to warm up to adult men. • House Training: Fully housebroken - using pee pads indoors and going potty outside. • Walking Manners: Super gentle on leash and loves going for walks! • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both well. • Separation Anxiety: May howl briefly when first left alone, but once he settled, he relaxes and rests peacefully by himself. • Barks/Howls: Occasional barking when a male family member approaches suddenly. • Car Rides: Comfortable and calm • Appetite/Food Allergies: Big eater! / No food allergies found so far. • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with toys that make noise. / Not a fan of being lifted suddenly by a male family member • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: Currently a healthy pup! He tested positive for heartworm when rescued, completed treatment successfully, and tested negative in Dec 2025. ----------- **Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee.
