Story
Russell is a 3.5 month old puppy believed to be a yorkie mix of some sort. He's a small and scruffy little guy that can hold his own and loves to rough house. As most puppy's are - he is very much mouthy and still learning boundaries so would do best in a home with no small children or parents who can help them all learn gentle manners with each other.

Story
This sweet girl is Bella!  Bella is a 9-year-old purebred Yorkie.  She is currently being fostered by a volunteer.  Don’t let Bella’s age fool you.  Her foster mom says that Bella enjoys a good game of chase and can be a little “scamper” when out on a walk.  While Bella does well with other dogs, she is not too playful with them.  Bella enjoys spending her downtime snoring on her back on the couch.  Bella’s foster mom says that Bella is pee pad and crate trained.  Bella is a special needs pup.  Because of this, Bella may do best in a house with older children.  Despite her special need, Bella will make a great family addition or a wonderful companion. Interested in meeting or learning more about Bella?  Please fill out an application to set up a meet and greet.

Story
Gio is a 7yr old Shorkie. Gio loves people and cuddles. He also loves belly rubs. He is crate trained but the only time he is in a crate is if he is being left alone for over 4 hours. He loves to sleep with his humans if possible. He is good with older dogs but does not care for young ones with a lot of energy. He is calm and mellow and doesn't bark much. Gio is missing a few teeth so his cute little tongue will hang out sometimes. He is currently on soft food or homemade dog food. He will make someone a great companion dog. We are located in Land O Lakes FL and a house visit is required so we ask that you live in Hillsborough or Pasco County when requesting information.

Story
Belle is a 13 year 5.5 pound yorkie girl who is being fostered with her best friend Beast in Dunedin, Florida. Belle and Beast are bonded and must be adopted together. Out of State applications will be considered if it is a good fit for them. Belle and Beast were surrendered by their owner who passed away. They were found running in the streets of St. Augustine in the rain when their mom found them. No one claimed them, so they were hers for the next 12 years. When United Yorkie Rescue took them in, we had some work to do to get them ready for adoption - spay/neuter, major dental, removal of mammary tumors and additional blood tests. They have adjusted nicely, even going through a hurricane evacuation with their foster mom. They both are in good health for their ages and enjoy their walks, sniffing around the back yard and their favorite past time - snuggling with foster mom. Belle is healing beautifully from her spaying, dental and mammary tumor removal and just got her stitches out. She had a very infected uterus due to not being spayed, so it was caught just in time. Her housebreaking has improved more quickly than her foster mom anticipated and she remains the sweetest and most loving little girl anyone could ask for. She walks well on the leash, sleeps well, eats well and asks for very little except to be loved. Will you be the person who can give Belle and her best friend Beast the love they so deserve? Go to www.uyr.us and fill out an application or email foster mom at dunedinrescuemom@yahoo.com

COOPER / SEMINOLE DOB: 06/30/2020 Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Mix Weight : 12 lbs Gender: Male House trained: Yes, as long as I get out often. Location: Seminole, FL Color: Blonde Gets along with cats: No Gets along with Dogs : Yes – similar sized and submissive – BUT NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME Fenced Yard: Yes, required attached to home and secured on all sides… no exceptions. ADULT MALE ONLY or very patient female home, no kiddos or Seniors PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO !! Hello World! Much has gone on in my life in the past few months. Mostly, the visit from my foster aunt has made me a bit of a ladies man. Don’t get me wrong, I still prefer the company of men, since I am a little toughie. At least that is what my foster mom tells me. However, the softer lap is definitely more comfortable. Plus the ladies seem to give longer belly rubs and I like that too. My leash walks are also much more fun now that I have a pack to roam the neighborhood together. My foster mom says I still might have a set back on occasion, but my behavior is much improved. So if you are in the market for a little project, I just might be the pup for you. We would consider a couple, but with that Female need to be extremely patient. Ideally a single human home. and the rest of the story Any incomplete application will NOT be processed. You should also call your Veterinarian’s office and give your permission for us to speak with them to gather the necessary information we need to process any applications. Failure to do so will result in your application being closed. Hello there, It’s me Cooper ( you may remember me from earlier cuz’ I’m still lookin’ for my forever person) I’m a 3 year old extremely handsome terrier mix boy. I have been told I am a member in good standing of the He-Man Woman Hater Club and am looking for a Daddy that has a lifestyle that allows me to keep my good standing. For some crazy reason, I just don’t get along with the lovely female human type. (I don’t really hate them, just not for me!) I have no clue why, but hey, we all have our own “quirks”, right? As a terrier, I have requirements that must be met by my future Daddy. First, I must be the center of your universe. I love life as long as I get all the attention, so NO CHILDREN and NO OTHER PETS. In return, I will make you the center of my universe, snuggling and cuddling with you. Second, I require my Daddy to be a homebody, either work from home and/or retired as I am afflicted with separation anxiety. Third, I must be exercised on a very regular basis. I know that I really need an active Daddy and I also require a secured fenced in yard in a single family home (sorry, no townhomes, condos, manufactured homes and no rentals.) I know that’s going to eliminate some great Dads, but it’s what’s bestest for me. I might be little, but I require a lot of room to stretch my legs as I like to zoom, zoom, zoom throughout the back yard. It is my job to keep all predators out of the back yard and I am excellent at my job, if I do say so myself. Fourth, Bones and Toys!!!! I enjoy chewing on bones and playing with my toys. Fifth, lottsa love and patience!!! I am a good boy when all my requirements are fulfilled, which is mostly LOVE. I will also require regular grooming, so please keep that in mind. I share my current foster home with “Big Daddy” he sets all the rules here, and guess what? I’m a better boy for it. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention! So, anywho, I just want to mention, and not to be mean or disrespectful, but if you don’t meet all my needs, please don’t apply for me. There are some other great pups in our rescue that might fit into your home better. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on my heartworm and flea prevention. Applications that don’t meet my requirements will be not be processed and will be closed. Please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application for me (might be the best decision of your life!) I really really hope my new Daddy is out there looking for his best boy, me! Cooper! Standard Adoption Requirements: You must be a resident of FL., and be at least 25 years of age. This breed typically lives 14-18 years, so keep his lifespan in mind if you are thinking of adopting. Your age should be appropriate for Coopers estimated lifespan. World! Story
Princess is chill old lady that likes naps and snacks. She is good with most people and kids. She is grumpy and anxious around other dogs. But she seemed okay around another female lhasa apso. She is not kind to her current canine housemate. She will pee on a peepad and outside, but she often has accidents and pees elsewhere, as well as when laying down. I will provide a supply of medication for this. She may have allergies which would require allergy shots. She also seems to have a slight limp. She can still br perky and likes frequent walks wheh she is not sleeping. She doesn't play and mainly wants a quiet place to to chill. She is tricky to groom and won't wear a doggy diaper. She does fine at out grooner though. I will take her to groomer prior to adoption and get her shots up to date (last Vax Sep 2023). She would love someone home more take her on frequent short walks when awake :) She may need allergy shots or testing. She isn't a picky eater but doesn't like peanut butter.
