Story
Meet Guppy, our adorable senior Yorkie who is 14 years young! He loves to snooze, but when it's time to play, his favorite game is tug of war. Guppy is fully house trained and enjoys spending time with his family. He's a sweet and friendly companion who always wants to be where you are, he loves to cuddle on the couch or hang out nearby as you go about your day. Although Guppy has a few health challenges, like tracheal collapse and kidney disease, he's doing great thanks to his daily medications that keep him feeling his best. Sometimes he likes a bit of space, but most of the time, he's curious and eager to be around and has a warm, loving nature and playful spirit. Guppy would thrive in a calm environment with someone who has a soothing energy, allowing him to enjoy his retirement. A home with no stairs would be a preference for Guppy as stairs are a challenge to him.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Micah born 7/25/24. He is so adorable and friendly. He gets along great with everyone! There are no known health issues. He just became too old to be sold retail.  He will need work on housetraining. Located in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee is 950.00 and includes transport to the the NE or SE. You pay adoption fee when you pick up.     Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only.
