Story
Kerfuffle is an 11-pound, 9-year-old Yorkie mix. Though he’s a bit scared and cautious right now, with patience and kindness, Kerfuffle will warm up to you on his own terms. Once he trusts you, this sweet little guy will keep your lap warm and your hands busy because he loves belly rubs. He’s also a great snuggler and will keep you entertained with his charming personality. Kerfuffle needs a patient and loving home that can give him the time he needs to adjust and feel safe. He does have his momments when he is nippy, so no young children for him. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $200 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org.  ##2253121##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Chuck & Norris came into PRBJ after their owner passed away and the family was unable to take them. These boys are sweet.  Chuck does need a home with another smaller, confident, but easy going dog.  He is reserved and his buddy Norris dominates him and is not always the nicest. Chuck will cry when left without another dog around. Neither pup is housebroken. They are sweet and Chuck does not really like to go on walks, even with his brother around. He is a little too scared of the world and this is why we are wanting a sweet but confident dog to help show Chuck the ropes and give him the security and confience he needs. Chuck and Norris aren't very playful; they honestly just like to lay around more than anything else. They do well in crates; however, they do still go potty there.    Like most small dogs, they are a great alert to new people coming in the doors and will bark for a few minutes to ensure you saw the intruder. They do well with dogs and cats.  They have been briefly around kids and did well. Chuck has an Isabella coloring, hard to see in pictures; it is a lilac/light grey/brown. Story
Hi, I’m Nero, a 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie. I weigh 12 lbs. I may be named after a Roman emperor, but in reality I’m the sweetest guy you could ever hope to meet! General Behavior: Nero is extremely laid-back and low-maintenance. He is healthy and content to snooze all day, snuggle, and eat. He likes to lounge in the lanai area and sniff around the yard. He is not a fan of taking a walk, but will begrudgingly take one if there’s another dog around. Likes & Dislikes:  Nero loves two things in life: food and snuggling. He is happiest sitting next to you on the couch.  He’s a big chow hound and has had a hard time losing the extra pounds he needs to lose. He also loves toys and likes to play fetch. Training: Nero is generally a good boy. He is not housetrained and at his age will very likely not ever be - he does wear a belly band in the house and that works great for him. He is a good passenger on car rides, sleeps in a dog bed at night, and generally has good basic manners. Medical: Nero only needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Nero does well with other small dogs. He has not been observed around cats yet, but his foster thinks he’d get along with them.   Children: Nero does NOT like small children so he can’t go to a home with any child under 10 years old. Home: Nero is not a big barker and would do well in an apartment, condo, or single-family home. Grooming: Nero will need regular brushing plus professional grooming about every 6-8 weeks. Overall: Nero will be a wonderful companion for snuggles, snacks, and lots of love. Is Nero the laid-back hero you need in your life? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered, and he has just had his teeth cleaned.  His adoption donation is $200. ##2230458##
