Story
Hi ya, new friends! My name is Bonnie and I’m a one-year-old Yorkie mix girl – and I pack a whole lot of personality into my tiny 9-pound frame. People say I’ve got that classic terrier attitude, and I would say they’re absolutely right. LOL I’m confident, I’m smart as a whip, and I know exactly what I want out of life. And what I want most is my very own family who gets me. I’ve been let down before by people before but I’m an optimist at heart. I trust quickly because I believe in second chances, and I’m hoping you might be mine. When I find my people, I love them with every ounce of my little being. I’m the kind of dog who will be your shadow, your confidant, and your most loyal companion. Two big personal pluses — I have excellent house manners and I’m fantastic on a leash. I love our walks together and showing off my perfect manners. I actually get along just fine with other dogs most of the time – we can play and hang out together without any drama. But when it’s meal time or I’m playing with my favorite toys, I prefer to enjoy them without other dogs around. A girl deserves some space sometimes! Speaking of space, I’d really thrive in an adults-only home. Kids are great, but their energy can be a bit much for a sophisticated lady like me. I prefer the calmer rhythm of adult life, where I can be the center of attention and get all the love and respect I deserve. If you’re looking for a small dog with a huge heart and just the right amount of sass, I might be your perfect match. I will bring joy, laughter, and endless snuggles to the right family. Could that be you? If yes, please submit an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $375.00

Story
Hi, I'm Bolto! Yeah, like the movie dog — and trust me, I live up to the name. I'm a two-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix with 17 pounds of pure personality, and I am HERE for adventure. Yes, I am a bit of an escape artist. That’s how I ended up here…but can you blame me? No one paid me any attention. Now that I'm with people who give me the love I deserve, I want to stick around and I want a family to stick close to! 🏡 But hey, an open door or gate can be tempting so my new family needs to be sure everything is always closed when I’m around. Now for more of the good stuff…I’m affectionate, loyal, brave, and just a little bit hilarious. I love a good game of fetch or tug-o-war — especially with a willing dog sidekick! Speaking of which, I'd really love a dog sibling to share my adventures with. I play hard and love harder, so I'd do best with older kids who can match my energy. A securely fenced yard is a must for this athletic boy. I'm still working on my leash manners and can get a little spooked by loud noises, so patience goes a long way with me. 🙏 I may already be housebroken, but I'll probably need a little refresher in a new home — no biggie! At the end of the day, you'll find me curled up on the couch and I will sleep there all night. Oh, and I will absolutely be your sous chef — stationed hopefully near the snacks. If you're looking for a funny, devoted best friend, I might just be your guy. Apply to adopt me through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $295

BONDED TO ONEY Meet Tom and Oney! Hi FCCR family, I’m Tom, an 8-year-old, 9-pound Yorkie boy, and this is my best friend and sister Oney – she’s a 10-year-old, 12-pound girl, and we’re a package deal! I love belly rubs, playing with toys AND crawling into boxes, plus racing around the yard, and afternoon naps on the couch. Oney’s my cuddle buddy who likes carrying blankets instead of toys (much comfier for napping on, she says!). She’s a retired puppy mama ready for the leisure life, and while she takes a minute to warm up to new people, once she does, she’s all about those back rubs. We’re both pretty good with housetraining as long as we get outside every few hours, and we love our treats for a job well done! Oney’s an excellent watchdog who’ll let you know when something’s up, and I’m just friendly with everyone. We’re great with other dogs, not sure about cats since we’ve never met one, and we’d probably do best with older kids. We sleep together in a crate at night and stick together like glue because we’re bonded for life. Oh, and we both have a little quirk with our back legs (birth deformities that can’t be fixed, but don’t worry – we’re not in pain!), and it doesn’t slow us down one bit! We’re ready to find our forever home where we can love, play, and cuddle together! Visit www.floridacockerrescue.org to apply! ADOPTION FEE: $575 (for the pair)

Story
Hello, friends, my name is Oliver! I’m a 1-year-old, 9lb Yorkie Shih Tzu mix (Shorkie) boy, and I’ll be honest – my start in life was rough. I was found by the side of the road, discarded like I didn’t matter. Because of that, I’m still learning to trust and I can be unsure when meeting new people and other dogs — proper introductions are a must. My amazing foster mom is working with me on this, and I’m making progress every day! I’m doing okay with my older female foster dog sibling, but I may do best as an only dog where I can get all the attention. I don’t know about cats yet, and I need an adult-only home – no kids for me, please. I sleep in bed with my foster mom at night and love lounging on the couch during the day because comfort is life! I am pretty sure I am what you call housebroken. I haven’t learned yet how to tell my humans when I need to go potty, but I know I can learn. For now, if you take me out frequently, I do great with no accidents. I do okay on a leash but need help building my confidence when seeing other people and dogs…I would really prefer a home with a fenced-in yard to run and play and so I don’t need to go on many walks. Crates are ok and I know they keep me safe when you’re not home. They are also helpful because…now here’s the fun part: I’m still ALL puppy! I’m a chewer who loves my favorite toys, so you’ll need to puppy-proof your home and protect your favorite things. Fair warning! I need a patient, experienced adopter who understands I’ve been through a lot and will give me time to heal and grow. I’m young with so much potential – I just need someone who believes in me. Is that YOU? Apply to adopt me here: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $395

Story
The name's Greyson. I'm a 10.5-year-old Schnauzer mix, and yes — I am as dashing as I sound. I came to Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue after a very close call at a local shelter, and I have been embracing every single day with enthusiasm ever since. My hobbies include: running laps around the yard, announcing things that need announcing (sometimes a little loudly), counting my steps on walks, cruising in the car, and an extremely serious stuffie-tossing practice. I throw them up, I chase them down, I repeat. It's a whole thing. I’ve started to let my foster know I secretly love belly rubs too! I came in with a little extra to love, but I'm already working on my beach bod — down 5 lbs and counting! I'm friendly and playful, great with other dogs and people, crate trained, and totally fine with older kids who know their way around a dog. I have one request — please don't pick me up. I think it’s because I am a big boy right now and it’s uncomfortable. If you're looking for a spirited, loving senior with serious personality, I just might be your guy.
