At least that is what my foster mom tells me. However, the softer lap is definitely more comfortable. Plus the ladies seem to give longer belly rubs and I like that too. My leash walks are also much more fun now that I have a pack to roam the neighborhood together. My foster mom says I still might have a set back on occasion, but my behavior is much improved. So if you are in the market for a little project, I just might be the pup for you. We would consider a couple, but with that Female need to be extremely patient. I have been told I am a member in good standing of the He-Man Woman Hater Club and am looking for a Daddy that has a lifestyle that allows me to keep my good standing. For some crazy reason, I just don’t get along with the lovely female human type. (I don’t really hate them, just not for me!) I have no clue why, but hey, we all have our own “quirks”, right? As a terrier, I have requirements that must be met by my future Daddy. First, I must be the center of your universe. I love life as long as I get all the attention, so NO CHILDREN and NO OTHER PETS. In return, I will make you the center of my universe, snuggling and cuddling with you. Second, I require my Daddy to be a homebody, either work from home and/or retired as I am afflicted with separation anxiety. Third, I must be exercised on a very regular basis. I know that I really need an active Daddy and I also require a secured fenced in yard in a single family home (sorry, no townhomes, condos, manufactured homes and no rentals.) I know that’s going to eliminate some great Dads, but it’s what’s bestest for me. I might be little, but I require a lot of room to stretch my legs as I like to zoom, zoom, zoom throughout the back yard. It is my job to keep all predators out of the back yard and I am excellent at my job, if I do say so myself. Fourth, Bones and Toys!!!! I enjoy chewing on bones and playing with my toys. Fifth, lottsa love and patience!!! I am a good boy when all my requirements are fulfilled, which is mostly LOVE. I will also require regular grooming, so please keep that in mind. Meet Maxwell: Proof That Big Hearts Come in Small Packages This little senior silver Yorkie may look cute (and he is), but don’t be fooled—Maxwell is so much more than meets the eye. He’s living proof that you can’t judge a book by its cover! We posted a sneak preview of this wicked cutie when we picked him up to bring him into Rescue. Little did we know that he was going to be more special than we thought. Maxwell has special needs—he’s blind, hard of hearing, and learning to navigate the world in his own unique way. But don’t let that fool you; Maxwell is full of determination and charm: &#226&#156&#168 Achievements unlocked: Maxwell has figured out how to climb stairs and even come back down (with a little help from his humans). Friendship goals: He wags his tail and wants to be friends with everyone (even if he needs a little time to build trust). House manners: Potty trained, crate trained (loves a cozy carrier), and barks when he needs something—he’s got communication down! Cuddle potential: Maxwell loves couch snuggles once he feels safe. We have HUGE thanks to our friend Julie and her husband for agreeing to take on Maxwell as we learned about his needs.    Maxwell was found as a stray in a hospital parking lot. Thanks to a good Samaritan he was picked up and brought to safety. He was wearing a rabies tag which led us to his owner who was a 90 year-old woman who had recently suffered a stroke. She could no longer care for him and knew that he was able to escape her yard so she asked that we find him a safe and happy home. we brought him up-to-date on his vaccines. He has been neutered and his micro chipped. He had a benign tumor on his butt, which is why it took us a little while to post him as we wanted to get a clean bill of health first.
