Story
Name: Pancake Nicknames: Fluffernutter. Little One. Princess. Pumpkin. Crazy Girl. Breed: Terrier mix Sex: Female Age: 4 years Weight: 12 lbs. Before OMD: Animal Control seized 37 dogs from a hoarding situation (dogs were kept in a barn in filthy conditions) and reached out for help. Pancake was one of the last dogs left at animal control from the case and, especially after seeing the videos of her trembling in her kennel, we knew we needed to help. Energy Level: Medium. Loves to walk around the house carrying her toys, and play in the yard... then nap... then repeat. Affection love: Low. She wants to be in your area, wants to sleep in your bed, and wants to have your attention, but she does not want your pets....at least at first. Apartment Friendly: Not so much. She has been known to bark when alone, so shared walls are not ideal. Tagline: "Don't scare me. I poop easily" ...really. Pancake's natural reaction to being scared (of a new person picking her up, at the vet, etc.) is to release her bowels... What we love most: She is a true character, and constantly keeps us laughing. Her innocent nature. Her chewbacca yodel noises. Her full-on butt wiggles when she's excited to see foster mom. When she drapes herself, all stretched out, across the bed or couch, half on/half off. What she loves most: Greenies. Sunbathing. Yard time. Her foster siblings. Running in circles around the kitchen island, toy stuffed in her mouth, when foster mom comes home. Stealing all the toys and depositing them throughout the yard (but mainly on top of the hill, unfortunately). Cat/dog beds. Doesn't love: Being on leash or attempting to go for walks (she will freeze, thrash around, and or pancake...hence how she got her name)...basically anywhere outside the comfort of her own house/yard and anyone who isn't her foster mom. Skills: Jumping over gates or playpen walls. Keeping a close eye on you from anywhere in the house (but please don't look back and make eye contact, she's trying to be sneaky). Playing dead when being picked up or having harness put on. Kids: Nope. They are loud, chaotic, and scary. Dogs: Yes! Pancakes will thrive with another dog in the home. Cats: Yes! Housetrained: Definitely not (understandable given her history). Rugs are not safe from this girl...and she has a cool little party trick where she shimmies her booty up to poop in unattended shoes at 2am. Crate trained: Does not like to be closed into the crate, but she's often gone into the open crate with the bed and blanket. Ideal home: Low-traffic home who isn't scared off by accidents and isn't offended by a dog who doesn't want their attention at first. Her forever family should be incredibly patient, not rushing her and understanding she wants to be left initially. Over time (weeks-months) she will warm up to her people and they will get to see her full body wiggles, her hilarious noises, her prancing but the immediate expectation should be that you essentially have a cat who isn’t litter box trained (but way cuter and funnier). Pancake is spayed, vaccined, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. Story
This spunky little guy is Gunner. He is one of the most adorable dogs that I’ve fostered in a while…he is VERY adventurous, VERY active, VERY outgoing and has a zest for life. That being said, I feel confident in saying that he is going to be a whole lot of fun for some lucky family. He is a super friendly and happy guy as well and he adores everyone that he meets…adults, older kids (NO SMALL KIDS) and other dogs. Gunner has been crated a lot in his previous home and hasn’t really been taught many everyday manners and what is expected or not expected of him. He would greatly benefit from some training classes or at least someone to work with him. Given his activity level, he will need to be adopted by an ACTIVE family and one that is willing to work with him and/or take him to training class. Gunner is 1 ½ years old (dob 5/22/23) and weighs 10-12 pounds. He has been neutered, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400. Gunner is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
Puppy is fostered in Athens TN. Out of state welcomed. Transport may be available to the northeast or grate lakes areas and as listed on adopt a pet the transport fee is included in the adoption fee. We use rescue Ridera because they are the best! They always treat our babies with so much love and care! Meet Grinch! This boy is ready for his furever home. Will that home be yours? He is sweet and playful and loving. He’s approx 8-9 weeks old now and we are accepting adoption applications for him at petpath.org. We think he and his siblings are Chorkie mixes (chihauhua, Yorkie and wire terrier type mixes) and will not be very large. They are about 7 lbs right now and will be small to medium in size. They will bark when they have to poop to go outside so potty training has already begun. They will be neutered and current on vaccines as well as microchipped. Please share them in hopes of finding their families. Apply to adopt at petpath.org
