Story
Meet Arthur 💙 We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 1/11/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Arthur to our trip for the right home 💙 He just turned 2 on 12/9/24. He is a purebred yorkie. He is a larger boy for sure. He isn't overweight whatsoever, just tall and more of standard size than your typical yorkie. None the less he is amazing in every way that makes this breed great 😊 He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, had a dental cleaning done, along with a thourel exam with our vet whom has cleared him to find a home all his own ❤️ He is crate trained, and knows where his crate is and will go and sit by it for you to let him in when he wants to nap. He currently sleeps in it at night very peacefully, and without any type of fuss whatsoever. He would love to be in a bed next to yours, or (even in bed; if you have the space for him 💙,) but has no problem continuing to sleep in his crate at night moving forward so ultimetly the choice would be yours to make! He is leash trained, and loves his walks around the neighborhood ☺️ He is very well behaved, and will stay by your side while venturing the world with you. He is house trained, and hasn't had any accidents in our home whatsoever in the time we have had him with us. He is very good about holding his bladder, and will patiently wait for you to ask him if he needs to go outside. He is great with other dogs, but definitely appreciates the calmer, lower energy companions. He isn't a dog that likes to hang out in the yard longer than it takes to potty, as he truly loves being inside with his humans, unless you are outside with him hanging out of course ☺️ He is great on road trips, and loves to drive around town with us every chance he gets. I am certain he would love ventures of any length so if you are looking for a friend to hit the road with and enjoy life he is definitely one that will be ready every single time. He loves people and is patiently waiting to be a part of someone's world again ❤️ He is a sweet boy. He loves to snuggle and will happily warm your lap and or feet any chance he gets. He is not a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar noises. He is overall a great boy, sweet, kind hearted, beautifully tempered, easy going, and is definitely that piece to your heart you didn't know was missing. His prior owners both worked very long days, and had little to no time to be with Arthur, and while it broke their heart to say goodbye to him they knew living his life is complete solitude at times wasnt idea for his happiness so they reached out to us to take him in and find him the life he deserved ❤️ His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/arthur It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, dental cleaning, additional anesthesia time/iv fluids, antibiotic shot given to aid in both his neuter and dental, and his overall exam with our vet which went perfect. Aside from a routine dental cleaning and polish his teeth were in great health, along with his ears that were also examined and cleared. As always his adoption fee also goes back into the care he has received from us since he has been with us, his grooming costs, and training that we have personally done with him 😊

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 1/31/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Honey to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Honey ♥️ She is a beautiful, 2 year old, yorkie/poodle mix. She has a long beautiful coat and yes its hypoallergenic so you won't have to worry about her shedding. She weighs right under 12 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She is set to be spayed on 1/28/25. She will also be current on vaccines, microchipped, thoroughly examined, and cleared by our vet prior to adoption. She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when asked to. She is very good about holding her bladder, and will wait for you to let her out during the day. She is crate trained, and has no problem sleeping in her crate at night if that's where you would like her to be. She does however sleep on a dog bed in our room at night and does wonderful with that arrangement as well ❤️ She is leash trained, and really loves her walks. If you want a sweet girl to stroll around the neighborhood in , or to hang out at your local cafe/coffee shop she would love to be right there at your feet enjoying just being able to hang out with you! She is WONDERFUL with all animals, cats and dogs alike. She doesn't so much play with other animals; but will definitely offer great companionship if her next home has a few friends that she would be joining. She would be great with or without other animals, as long as she has her person/family her heart will be content ❤️ She is BEAUTIFULLY natured. KIND hearted. LOVING. An AMAZING snuggler. Affectionate. And just absolutely incredible in every way!! She isn't a barker but will alert you of unfamiliar noises. She has a very serene, quiet, and submissive temperament. She has been a wonderful member to our family here, and while we will miss her terribly we are excited to find her the home and human/humans she deserves so she can live the life she is meant to live! She is amazing on road trips, and will try to lay in your lap when driving so we recommend a comfy booster seat for her as she loves gazing out of the window. She is phenomenal at the groomers, and really enjoys being called beautiful afterwards ❤️ She has amazing house manners, and while she loves being near us, she is also very independently natured and will go about her day lounging around, or chewing on a favorite toy, or bone. She is not high energy, or high maintenance and will be incredibly easy to add to your life; no matter how it looks I assure you that she would fit in seamlessly as if she had always been there 💕 Her prior owner went through a separation , leaving her having to downsize to a smaller apartment which Honey was fine with, but with that change came many more. One being that her owner no longer was able to stay home with her, as she was juggling two jobs and school. She loved Honey so very much, and while it broke her heart to say goodbye, she just couldn't allow her days to be filled with sadness being all alone as she wasn't used to that so she reached out to us here to take her in and find her an amazing new home and family to love ❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/honey-1 It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, exam with our vet, the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with her. (Her adoption fee will be updated if anything in addition to the above was done during her spay today on 1/28/25. Make sure to check back this evening for the final update.)

Story
Meet our sweetest Milo. He is a pure bred yorkie weighing in at 11 pounds. Yes, he is fully grown and will turn 3 in July of 2025. He is hypoallergenic and has a nice full coat with silky hair. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and had a dental done at the time of his neuter. He was cleared by our vet to find a loving home; might that be you? Milo currently sleeps in his crate at night but if you prefer, he sleep in bed with you he would love to snuggle. He loves playtime with his person and squeaky toys are his favorite. He will fetch balls for you and loves to be wherever you are. He is also house trained and will sit by the door to let you know when he needs to potty. He sometimes naps in his crate during the day so if you are cleaning around the house, he won't be a bother. He loves belly rubs and will lay next to you for love and affection. He is the sweetest boy and loves that one on one with his humans. He is why they say, " a dog is a man's best friend." He enjoys his spa days and is learning to enjoy his morning walks as the leash is a bit new to him, but he is a quick learner. He gets along with most small dogs alike although he enjoys all the attention on him and will be your best of friend you didn't know you needed. He is a very sweet and handsome boy I hope this post reaches the right person who will love Milo as much as we do! We are set to travel to NorCal/Oregon on January 31 and we would love for him to accompany us to his forever home! His adoption fee is 2,000 in total. It covers all exams with our vet, vaccinations, microchip/lifetime registration, neuter, additional iv fluids during his dental. The care provided during his time with us, including grooming and the training we've personally conducted, is reflected in his adoption fee. Please note that travel expenses are separate and will be added to the adoption fee if transportation is required, depending on your location. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you will provide, and your experience with the breed. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
Meet Maya Blue!   This 5 lb, 8-year-old Yorkie mix is a sassy little soul who came to us from Contra Costa Animal Services. We can’t wait to share her journey with you!   &#226&#156&#168 It’s Maya’s world, and she occasionally lets us in. She thrives in her familiar spaces and is a little spicy when it comes to human interaction. Not a fan of most touches, she’ll show her sass with alligator rolls and playful hops if picked up. But don’t worry—her “bites” are toothless and gentle!   Maya loves to explore (sometimes in circles), nap, and enjoy her meals. When she does allow you in, she’ll give you those sweet, brief kisses and the occasional ear rub.   She’s not a fan of crates and prefers her own cozy enclosed space at night. While she uses potty pads when needed, she’s still learning her potty training, especially outside her comfort zone.   Due to her aversion to being touched, Maya would do best in a quiet home without children. She’s not keen on harnesses either, so outdoor adventures will need to wait until she’s more comfortable.   Stay tuned for updates as Maya Blue gets closer to finding her forever home. She may be a little spicy, but she’s got a heart of gold just waiting to shine!   #AdoptMayaBlue#YorkieMix#RescueDog#ComingSoon#SpicyButSweet We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  November 6, 2024, 3:48 pm

Story
Bonded pair- Two little ladies we believe are Yorkie Terrier and possibly Chihuahua or even Maltese and something else scruffy fluffy?! They are a lower shed mix of some sort of adorable! NAME:ThelmaSTATS:Female, Yorkie Terrier, 2 years, 10 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Playful, but not overly so.Needs to be WITH ANOTHER dogBonded pairSKILLSDoing great with potty training.Crate trained.Unknown with very young children. Would recommend gentle kids over 7 who can be patient. Good with dogs.Good with cats.SKILLSDoing great with potty training.Crate trained.Good with dogs.Likes walks, but not great for hiking.Good with cats but does chase them if runningMORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes walks.Likes playing with other dogs.Suggest training (basic manners).Wants to please and be by her people, easy to redirect once she trusts you. ONE LAST THING:Thelma is a little more independent at times. She likes to cuddle with you on the couch, Sleep in bed with you and loves her walks. If you can not find her in the house, look in the backyard. She likes to Explore and protect her surroundings from squirrels and cats. She is often looking for her sister Louise to play with or snuggle with. She likes to hang out in the office when you work from home. Thelma and Louise like to do zoomies and play together.Thelma loves her walks can be a little reactive to other dogs/people at first but this has improved a lot. They will need time to feel at home and decompress in a new environment. From her behavior, we think she was left in the yard as you really need to make sure she has potty breaks and reward her for doing right. If you miss her cues, she will go inside.Thelma and Louise were left behind when their owner moved away. A nice Rescue lady in Stockton took them in when they saw the owner never came back for them. Sounds like they lived most of their lives in the backyard. Now they are pampered little princesses.January 18, 2025, 9:49 pm
