Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 2/21/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Missy to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Missy. She is a 3.5 year old toy yorkie. She weighs 4.4 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She is set to be spayed on 2/11/25. She will also have a dental cleaning done, have her vaccines administered, be microchipped, and have anything else done that my vet recommends to be done at time of spay. She loves to go outside to use the restroom, but due to her very small size she is always accompanied so outside potty time is offered throughout the day. She is also pad trained so that she always has access to be able to use the restroom without having to wait for us. She is crate trained, and will sleep in a crate at night or while you step out of the home if needed. She is very well behaved in the home, and has learned to use a ramp to get on and off the beds so if you aren't using a crate; she will simply walk herself up to your bed and nap there til you return home. She is leash trained, and while walks tend to be short with her she does love them! She will let you know when it's time to be carried, and being so tiny we happily oblige every time so she can enjoy the rest of her walks snuggled in arms 💕 She is wonderful with all dogs and cats alike. She has a very submissive temperament so if you have another animal in the home it's best if they are docile, and respectful of her small stature. She isn't a dog to play with other animals, and is completely fine being the only princess in her home as she is very content being your sole focus 🥰 She is AMAZING with men, women, and children alike. She is NOT high energy whatsoever and is very calm natured, serene tempered, and very zen ❤️ She is NOT a barker at all, and the only time you'll hear her voice is when she sees you again after being gone for any amount of time and it's always out of excitement that you are back which ultimately requires snuggles to make up for any lost time 😊 She is an amazing traveler; and will travel the world with you whether by car, or plane. She is happy just being along for the ride however that may look! She is EASY to please and even EASIER to love. She is all things you look for in a tiny little friend; and will make an exceptional companion to someone looking to enjoy life with ♥️ She loves her spa days; and is always extra happy to see her favorite groomer 😁 but is even happier when we walk back through the door . She definitely soaks up all the extra attention and is happy to hear your voice tell her how pretty she is over and over again 🥰🥰 She has an incredible temperament, has a beautiful heart; and her excitement to be in the presence of her humans makes anyone smile. She is absolutely the most precious little one here, and we are excited to find her someone that will love her the way she deserves to be loved ❤️❤️❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption fee at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/missy Her adoption fee is on our higher end. Shortly after she first came to us she had to be hospitalized overnight hooked up to IVs due to being extremely dehydrated and weak. Being so small it's so crucial she receives proper nutrition, and that's something she will never have to worry about again. We had blood work, and x rays done, which all came back great. She is completely on the mend, and is ready for next part of her journey home to begin ❤️ Her adoption fee will not only help cover the costs involved with the above, but it will also help cover her spay, vaccines, dental cleaning (and possible extractions,) microchip/registration, and anything else my vet recommends to have done! She will be completely vetted and cleared by our vet prior to adoption. And as always, our adoption fees typically go back into the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and training we personally do but with her vetting soaking up all of what we are asking consider the rest on us 💕 She is a gem, and one you want to have in your life; so if you are able to open your heart and home to this beautiful little Angel please help us make her happily ever after come true for her ❤️

Story
We adopted Juju in June of 2023 when he was 3-4 years old. We jokingly call him a “jumbo yorkie” as he weighs about 13lbs. He loves giving kisses and absolutely adores young children. He loves playing catch and running around the yard. He has difficulty being in his crate and is not potty trained but not to lack of training. Unfortunately, we have to move over seas and believe the trip would be too rough for him and think it’s best for his well being we find him a home where he has a lot of attention, love and patience.

Story
Meet Maya Blue!   This 5 lb, 8-year-old Yorkie mix is a sassy little soul who came to us from Contra Costa Animal Services. We can’t wait to share her journey with you!   &#226&#156&#168 It’s Maya’s world, and she occasionally lets us in. She thrives in her familiar spaces and is a little spicy when it comes to human interaction. Not a fan of most touches, she’ll show her sass with alligator rolls and playful hops if picked up. But don’t worry—her “bites” are toothless and gentle!   Maya loves to explore (sometimes in circles), nap, and enjoy her meals. When she does allow you in, she’ll give you those sweet, brief kisses and the occasional ear rub.   She’s not a fan of crates and prefers her own cozy enclosed space at night. While she uses potty pads when needed, she’s still learning her potty training, especially outside her comfort zone.   Due to her aversion to being touched, Maya would do best in a quiet home without children. She’s not keen on harnesses either, so outdoor adventures will need to wait until she’s more comfortable.   Stay tuned for updates as Maya Blue gets closer to finding her forever home. She may be a little spicy, but she’s got a heart of gold just waiting to shine!   #AdoptMayaBlue#YorkieMix#RescueDog#ComingSoon#SpicyButSweet We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  February 4, 2025, 12:11 pm

Story
Meet BEETLEJUICE! "Beetle" as we call him came to us from Manteca Animal Services where they planned on euthanizing him the same day he arrived. We couldn't let that happen without giving him a chance at living. This 14 yr old Neutered fellow is about THREE POUNDS. He's fully vaccinated, microchipped and parasite free. He came to us unaltered, with a mass under his neck and HORRIBLE teeth. Our amazing vet team neutered him, had many extractions and removed the mass. He was a champ during the healing process, never complaining. The biopsy was sent out to the lab for review. Unfortunately, the news we received wasn't what we had hoped for. That's right, it came back positive for Lymphoma. Our vet feels he has at least 6 months of quality life left and we plan on spoiling him the entire time. Of course, he IS still up for adoption as a hospice adoption.  In the meantime, this is what his foster family has said about Beetle.  He might be small but his spirit is bigger than he is. At 14 yrs old, Beetlejuice is the sweetest boy on the planet. He walked in our house like he has lived her since birth. He greeted every dog in the house with tail wags and kisses. Sweet sweet sweet is all I can say about the “Beetle”.  There have been NO accidents in the home with Beetle. He seemed to already know when to go outside to do his business. Win!! He does have some anxiety when left alone which isn’t very long. He prefers to be next to you most the time so a warm lap is required. Beetle does love other dogs and will play with any dog that wants to engage. He’s also very respectful if they want to be left alone. He loves older children who enjoy holding him, too.    Beetle had surgery to remove the mass under his jaw. We are waiting for the results of the biopsy and will share them when they are ready. He was also neutered and had a dental with some extractions. When his foster mom came to pick him up, he was anxiously waiting for her. After surgery most dogs will go home and sleep for a few more hours. NOT Beetlejuice!! He wanted FOOD!!    Beetlejuice isn’t a fan of car riders. He wants to be able to see he isn’t alone. A comforting conversation with him usually settles him down. He loves food and hasn’t been  a picky eater. For the next few weeks though  he is eating creamy wet food until his mouth heals.    Since Beetlejuice has some anxiety being away from people  he sleeps in a crate in the fosters bedroom.    Whatever you do, do not repeat his name THREE TIMES if you don't want to fall head over heals in love with him. If you would like to give him his forever home and spoil him with love and attention we  invite you to fill out the application using the link below. www.beourpet.or/adoptions.php We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets. You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  February 6, 2025, 11:27 pm
